Cruz In The City

pcruz111709_05_X17.jpg

Penelope really shimmers in white! The Broken Embraces actress stopped by Letterman last night, and afterward we caught her dashing on over to The Standard.

Who's excited to see her dance in Nine? I know I am!

Penelope Cruz signed the Roman Polanski petition, so just looking at her makes me sick. Her ugly insides are starting to show on her face. Even Kate Hudson is prettier than this skank. Anyone who would support someone who drugged and raped and 13 year old will never see a dime of my money. I plan on boycotting this movie in protest.

love her!

I agree 2:17.......... and a horrible actress to boot.

Not a big fan of this gal but watching Letterman interview her was very uncomfortable. He can't handle strong women and he comes off as a total ass. I guess he prefers them young, dumb and homely.

Wow, she signed that petition? Agreed with 2:17 and 2:54. She always seems likeable from afar but when you hear her interviews or watch her movies she's not. Did she actually familiarize herself with the facts of the Polanski crime or did she blindly go along with her European pals. And maybe Letterman also prefers women whose job he controls

Thank god others are taking note that she signed that thing. She used to be one of my favorites until I found out about that. Anyone who supports child exploitation or those guilty of it, needs their ass kicked right back to the gutter. I don't think anyone should support any film, project or even site that repeatedly posts in her favor or anyone else that signed that thing. I'm glad to know others are paying attention to this.

Penelope Cruz likely did familiarize herself with the facts surrounding the Polanski affair and that is why she signed the petition. The hypocritical moral indignation in this case is by those who never bothered to actually look at the details. Details like the fact that he probation report found evidence that the victim was willing. Details like Polanski repudiating his plea bargain statement that he knew the age of the victim. Details like three witnesses who thought the victim could pass for around 18. Anyone who believes in the law and the concept of innocent until proven guilty must conclude that currently there is reasonable doubt as to whether Polanski even committed an offense under 1977 California law and indeed it was the victim who was far more eager for the plea bargain than Polanski as he could have rolled the dice and tried the defence of not knowing the victim’s age which at that time in history was a valid defence and possibly even the truth?

People have paid attention to those who signed the petition. Emma Thompson signed and then removed her name. Supposedly she'd experienced pressure to sign it and hadn't read all the facts or something. Good for her, but you shouldn't sign something without being informed or from peer pressure.

The victim was not willing, sicko. Do not speak of vague "details." She said no, she asked to go home and he refused, he drugged her,and she was 13 and could never be willing under the law. The court transcripts reflect these FACTS not your vague self-serving "details."

Thanks for clearing that up, 5:02. Any benefit of the doubt given her is now gone.

These celebs are the worst human beings on the planet.
Nerve of them on preaching to the little people how to think, live and vote.

Generally anyone who would accept him hiding behind something as weak as the "I did not know" defense is a childish sicko themselves. It's called personal responsibility/accountability. She did say no and at any age, NO IS NO. Having to drug a woman of ANY AGE to get your way with her, is also called RAPE. Two facts he can not hide from and neither should his supposedly intelligent, well informed supporters. Shame!

Roman Polanski knew she was 13, and didn't deny it. Rape is rape at any age anyhow. Stop spreading those dusty old lies. Are you a rapist pedophile upset that one of your own got caught?

Anyone who has read the facts of the case and the court record knows what happened. (Not that it matters, but anyone with eyeballs can also see from her pic she looked like a child.)

Rape is rape -- despite what Whoopi says!

Right on 6:39.. discounting age even being a factor, the facts in the court records/transcript describe RAPE. However, her age has been known for many years. Exploitation of a child, rape of anyone, are crimes. Those supporting him, must surely support both acts if they would sign anything asking for him to be forgiven for sins against another human being.
