Penelope Cruz Gets Her Star On The Walk Of Fame ... And Some Support From Co-Star Johnny Depp!

And not only that, but her hunky husband Javier Bardem was there as well -- talk about the perfect day!
Oscar winner Penelope Cruz was given a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame this afternoon, and her Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Blow co-star Johnny Depp was on hand to speak at the event. Depp joked that "a relatively long time ago, we did blow together," and the Spanish starlet later told the crowd that when she first came to the United States, she only knew how to say "How are you?" and "I want to work with Johnny Depp" in English. Hilarious!

back in the day gettting a star on the hollywood walk of Fame or an oscar for that matter was a major honor now it's a joke. The first actress to receive a star on the hollywood walk of Fame was Joanne Woodward in 1960. of course Woodward is an actors studio alum and Ms Cruz couldn't get in if her life depended on it
and what she has done to receive this "honor"?? I mean, she has made a lot of movies, but which one was good??don't remember, do you? She is an ok actress but to have an Oscar and now this???Hollywood is just so political and b#@.
I think Matt Damon brought her to Hollywood and slept with her too?? Didn't she have an affair with Nicholas Cage too??Matthew, Tom Cruise, no the Bardem, so she pretty much slept with all her co stars, I guess this is the reward...lol
While i love PC it just seems that anyone and everyone is getting a star these days. it used to be that u had to be super talented and that u really had to work hard and create fantastic movies and be a uber star like the wonderful Liz Taylor to get one of these stars. SO its not that impressive to me anymore , next paaris hilton will get one if she dowsnt alrready DOES SHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG. That would trully prove my point that its become nothing.............what a shame. It trully was the end of the rrel glamourous movie star era when we lost Elizabeth Taylor really. And im only in my 30ths but i really belive things are NOT the same anymore.
