Dancing With The Stars pro Mark Ballas and former American Idol contestant Pia Toscano began dating earlier this year, but already, their romance has ended.
Toscano's rep declined to comment on why the couple split. However, the following statement was released:
"She's hard at work on her new album and can't wait for her fans to hear it. Pia is wrapping up her American Idol tour and her album is expected to be released soon."
Ballas, 25, and Toscano, 22, met while they were both working on their shows. DWTS and AI rehearse and shoot at CBS Television City in Los Angeles.
For DWTS Season 13, Ballas has been teamed up with Kristin Cavallari. Now that the Hills hottie is single, will these two strike up a showmance? It would certainly be great publcity for the show's premiere on September 19!
Pia Toscano, who became a household name on American Idol, has debuted the sexy video for her first single "This Time."

Pia Toscano, 22, a fav female on the last season of American Idol, has signed a deal with Interscope Records. Her first single, "This Time," drops July 12 with her album debuting later this year.
"This is a dream come true," Toscano said in a statement. She'll work with famed producer Rodney Jerkins, who says fans can expect a a "diva" sound from Toscano. "This Time" was written by Esther Dean, the scribe behind Rihanna's "S&M," "Rude Boy" and "What's My Name."
Pia joins a list of singers who lost in Idol but ended up successful anyway, including Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson and more. Congrats!
