Kate Middleton checked into the private Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in Paddinton, west London at 6am and Prince William is at her side, royal family has confirmed.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace has said "Kate went into labor naturally and things are progressing well."

Though Middleton's due date was previously said to be last weekend, a source told The Telegraph that staffers at St. Mary's had been prepped for a July 19th date.

“A small number of staff at St. Mary’s who might be called upon when the Duchess gives birth were told they had to remain teetotal for a month before the due date,” the insider told the British tabloid. ”They were told the due date was July 19, meaning they couldn’t drink from June 19 onwards. Only a handful of people were told because there are very few hospital staff who might be needed in the case of an emergency.”

Prince William And Kate Middleton Take Legal Action Over Topless Photos

Sep 17, 2012 08:40 AM

royals-sue-topless-photos.jpgPrince William and Kate Middleton have taken legal action against the magazine that published topless photos of the Duchess last week.

"We can confirm that a criminal complaint has been made to the French Prosecution Department today," a spokesperson for Clarence House said on Monday. "The complaint concerns the taking of photographs of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge whilst on holiday and the publication of those photographs in breach of their privacy."

Attorneys for the royal couple "will appear in court today in Paris seeking an injunction against Closer magazine using more pictures and to prevent further publication of the photographs in France. It will lead to a longer court case where damages will be sought."

According to People, the lawyers will request that the issue be taken off newsstands and that the photos be removed from the publication's website. They are also demanding that further reprints be prohibited, and they will ask the judge to ban further sales. A decision on issuing the injunction is expected to be announced on Tuesday.

Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the London premiere of War Horse last night, and the duo looked absolutely divine as they posed for pictures on the red carpet.

While Duchess Kate smiled for the cameras and chatted with fans before heading in to the theater, director Steven Spielberg revealed that his wife, actress Kate Capshaw, was passing tissues to her at one point during the film! Spielberg told BBC he noticed Kate wiping her eyes, "but I didn't want to intrude on her experience of watching War Horse so I never glanced over."

The royal couple later hosted a reception at the Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace, and they raised several hundred thousand dollars for the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.

In other royal news, Kate celebrates her 30th birthday today, so it looks like she'll have another opportunity to get all glammed up tonight! Wonder what Wills is going to do for his lady love for her big 3-0?
