Video: Designer Vera Wang Weighs In On Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress

The most highly anticipated moment of the day was when Kate Middleton finally revealed her wedding dress.
A custom made ivory gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, which echoed Grace Kelly's classic lace gown.
Wedding dress designer to the stars, Vera Wang, who designed custom gowns for Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson, called the gown "an emotional statement."
"She's made her very own strong personal statement as to who she really is, it's that she is really her own person, that she has a sense of her own elegance and what is appropriate," Wang said. "She's showing the world that she's not here to only dress for fashion, she's here to dress for herself in a very elegant and dignified manner and I think that says volumes about who she is and the task that lies ahead for her.
Wang's favorite part? The veil!
"She wore such a simple veil over such a beautiful dress in its classicism," Wang said. Of course, it the "simplicity" of the veil was topped off by a "halo" tiara lent to Middleton by the Queen herself!

kate looked very beautiful but honestly, i thought her gown was a little blah.all the anticipation about the gown all these weeks. i felt disappointed in a way. by the way, does the queen ever smile?
but lindsay lohan is the most famous person in the world!.....'sources' tell us this
Kate was lacking some glamor, a la Grace Kelly.
The dress wasn't grand enough for an international wedding.

the dress was very disappointing. they looked at grace kelly for copy. the kiss
was of a brother and sister.
the speech by the brother was flat out ridiculous, those words should have been from an elder. the mother looked like a bar maid, the sister cheap. you can't class that family at all. the trouble with jackdoors they concentrate on the act. if any of it had been real, there would not have been such draconian music, there would have been pretty in the church and her dress would have been a statement rather than a contract.
sheer hell.
i'm not believing in that trollop.
well the real faux pas is that she WASN'T wearing a vera wang wedding dress. maybe next time...
