She's ready to become a mamma!
In an in-depth interview with More magazine, Queen Latifah opens up on the devastating loss of her brother, and reveals plans to expand her family in 2012.
The hip-hop-star-turned-actress lost her brother in a 1992 motorcycle crash at the age of 24, which changed her life forever.
- "I think the most important thing I've learned is to not stop living. I know for a fact that my brother would not want me to stay right there, stuck in that misery. There's no way they would not want you to live your life to the maximum, to appreciate it, to go for your dreams, go for your goals."
Latifah adds that one of her goals is to become a mother.
- "I'm definitely going to adopt - or have - a child. I've wanted to adopt since I was 17 or 18-years-old."
The Cover Girl spokes-model, who usually stays mum on her personal life, did not reveal if she plans to adopt with a partner.
Latifah also opened up on plastic surgery, expressing: "I've met so many people all through my life who made growing older look good. Look at Jamie Lee Curtis, not getting plastic surgery and not changing her hair I don't have any regrets. If I could have talked to my 19 or 20-year-old self, I would have said: "You're going to be fine. It ain't that serious! When you're young, it's like: "Oh my God, it's the end of the world!''
