Is Bravo's most famous franchise falling apart? The Real Housewives series on Bravo has flourished as a huge hit for the network -- shows fueled by gossip, drama and catty fun for the audience.
But it seems cast members are reaching their limits for the very real drama the show brings to their lives.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Taylor Armstrong's estranged husband committed suicide in August. Family and friends spoke of pressures he felt from the show, and Russell himself said it had pushed his family "to the limit." Taylor told Dr. Phil McGraw that Russell might still be alive if not for the show.
Then, over the weekend New Jersey's Jacqueline Laurita, Tweeted that she was "losing it" from all the drama with other cast members, and said she had quit the show in the middle of filming Season 4.
Now, Orange County's newest cast member, Peggy Tanous (left), has quit. She posted to her Facebook page on Tuesday:
- "I have declined their [Bravo's] offer to return to the show. ... being around the negative energy of certain cast members, being forced to have 'dramatic' confrontations ... was just not a healthy path for me ..."
Tanous, 41, had only been a member for the most recent season (season six.)
Bravo recently fired four members of its Real Housewives of New Jersey cast. What do you think -- is the series reaching its breaking point?
The show has seen cast members get divorced, file for bankruptcy and much more.
