You guys are so CHILDISH her son is strapped in he is removing the chest strap as you can see CLEAR from the photographs... i am the mother of 4 beautiful children AND he is strapped and it is buckled across his lap ....look again at the pictures across his lap his shorts are red and wallah there is the brown strap....what he does while his mommy is paying attention DRIVING THE CAR while being annoyed by the cameras {god forbid she run over one of them AS IT HAPPENS QUIET OFTEN} is all on him he is afterall a child and children are very clever to say the least! GIVE HER A BREAK for the love of GOD!

I don't see any strap around Deacon. And hell, even in airplanes they come around and check to see if everyone did their seatbelt properly, so how would Reese even know if Deacon did it right if she's not double-checking and if he's behind her where she really can't see him?

Um, that child is not properly belted in at all. He may as well be sitting on the hood of the car.

Booster seats require that both the lap AND shoulder belt be placed correctly over the body. Which means the lap belt goes on the lap NOT the tummy. The shoulder belt - you guessed it - goes on the shoulder.

Car crashes are the #1 killer of children. Parents, famous or not, need to be more mindful of that. Reading the bleepin' manual is a good start.

First off, X17 took a horrible picture of her scratching her face - so what - I'm sure we've all had bad pictures taken. Reese usually takes very good pictures - she's beautiful and we all have to cut a little slack to celebrities. We are so used to seeing them in make-up and air brushed magazine photos that we forget they are NORMAL people like you and me that have blemishes on there face or have a bad hair day. To me, it looks like she went out with her son to get her hair done....how many of you get all dolled up and try to make a fashion statement just to your hair dresser??? I know I don't.

AND Deacon is buckled. She's not Britney Spears for goodness sakes. Reese seems to be very responsible - I have a 5 year old who buckles herself into her seat - My daughter has a booster, kind of like what Deacon is in and there is no reason why he can't do it himself. It doesn't look buckled because has has the top strap behind him, probably because it irritates his neck.

We all need to relax and cut them a little slack.

However, I make sure that my daughter has the shoulder and lap strap on....not sure what the law is, but I remember when I was little I never used to wear that shoulder strap either.

I love Reese and I'm not saying she's a bad Mum. Just saying that it appears she didn't use the best judgment that day. Sure most kids, like mine, can buckle up. But kids are prone to making mistakes. Adults should double check before driving off.

Look up 'lap belt syndrome'. There are some pretty nasty outcomes when a shoulder belt isn't used.

Most states have a proper use clause in with the child restraint laws. There isn't a booster on the market that can be used without a shoulder belt. If the child is actually big enough for a booster and/or the booster is adjusted properly, there shouldn't be any comfort issues with the seat belts.

On a final note. I think the paps should back off when celebs are out and about with their kids. I can't imagine how nerve-wracking it must be.

X17 has a video of this, check the video section. Deacan has his seat belt on and Reese is the one that put it on him. She begs the photogs not to scare her child and does so with a please, she also lets them know she cannot see him to buckle him and could they please step back for a minute, most of the photogs do, but of course x17 keeps the video right on the 4yr old boys face.... Why? and as usual the x17 guy asked Reese about Jake while she is with her 4yr old.

I just watched the video. She did not buckle that child in safely. The shoulder belt MUST be in front of him and come out of the seat just above his shoulder. Not routed over the head rest and behind his back like that.

where can u find the video for this please? It doesn't look like he is strapped in ..... and I looked at the picture good and I looked at it three different times. As far as the way Reese looks ..... she looks just fine to me ..... she looks like she doesn't have any makeup on .... she's entitled to do that ..... and my face itches all the time .... u have never scratched ur face in public before?
