Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora and Denise Richards have rekindled their romance, according to Us Weekly.

The twosome have been seen going on several dates in recent weeks.

Sambora, 52, and Richards, 40, first began dating in 2006. They split back in 2007 after Richards was accused of breaking up Sambora's relationship with Heather Locklear.

A source tells the mag:

"They've always stayed friends, through everything they've gone through. He's had a rough patch, she's had her own stuff but they're both in a great place right now."

The source adds that the couple is "doing great and happy."

Their reps have yet to return our requests for comment.

Richie Sambora is checking himself into rehab for exhaustion and to regain his sobriety, after ending his tour with Bon Jovi.

The 52-year-old guitar player and his group are scheduled to play tour dates this month in the U.S., before heading to tour in Europe through June.

Sambora's bandmates said in a statement: "Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi. Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour."

Sambora entered treatment for alcoholism at ULCA Medical Center in 2007, two months after his nine-year marriage to Heather Locklear ended, and the passing of his father due to lung cancer.

Coincidentally, Richie's decision to seek treatment comes on the heels of his probation ending last week.

The Orange County District Attorney's office just issued a statement on Richie Sambora's charges related to his March 25th arrest.

Richie Sambora managed to avoid child endangerment charges stemming from his arrest in Laguna Beach, where he failed a field sobriety test after being pulled over with two minors (including his 10-year-old daughter Ava) in his car.

But every rose has its thorn (I know, I know, that's a Poison song!); He's still facing two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and being over the legal blood alcohol limit of .08 (he blew a .13).

UPDATE! Richie pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor of driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 percent or more, reads the press release X17 received. He's sentenced to three years of "informal probation" (during which he's not allowed to have drugs or alcohol) and must take alcohol awareness classes.

Damn - considering he was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence, this is a slap on the wrist!

Looks like Richie Sambora's legal woes are still mounting - now it's being reported that, in addition to a misdemeanor DUI, the rocker's also looking at child endangerment charges!

ET confirms that the cops have recommended that the rocker be hit with both charges in relation to his arrest last month. "The case went over to the court early last week," a spokesman told the show. "It is now their decision whether or not they will charge him with both, one, or no pending charges."

Richie's going to be heading to court to face the music on May 7th - we'll keep you posted if he ends up facing any more charges!

We've just spoken with Sgt. Jason Kravetz of the Laguna Beach Police Department - and he's got more details on Richie's arrest!

Sgt. Kravetz stated that, after being spotted weaving across several lanes on PCH last night, Sambora's black hummer was pulled over just before 11:00 PM last night with a female passenger. When the officer approached the vehicle, he smelled alcohol and, after several field sobriety tests, decided to give Richie a few tests.

Sambora reportedly turned down the breathalyzer, opting to have his blood tested at the station instead. The cops turned Richie's car over to his female passenger and arrested the rocker for driving under the in, where he was released around 4 AM this morning.

Sambora will have to appear in court on May 7th to face charges stemming from the incident. We'll have more on this story as it develops - stay tuned to us for the latest!

The rocker was married to Heather Locklear and dated Denise Richards... so is it smart having him and Linds, another high-profile celeb, at the same treatment center? Hopefully they'll get along!
