Ricky Martin is getting ready to hit the small screen on Fox's hit show Glee.
The 40-year-old "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer Tweeted the above photo with the cast ... and the following, “First day!!”
Lea Michele also Tweeted about working with the sexy singer. She wrote:
"I’ve known Ricky since I’m 8 years old! He was in Les Mis on Broadway with me in 1996! Crazy huh?!. He’s seriously the sweetest and such a great fit for our show!”
What a love fest! The episode featuring Ricky will be airing on January 31.
Ricky Martin is already a proud daddy to 2-year-old twins Matteo and Valentino, but now the "She Bangs" singer is looking forward to having a little girl.
Although Martin and boyfriend Carlos Gonzelez Abella aren't in a hurry to add to their family, the 40-year-old openly gay singer tells Latina:
"I think that I'll do it later on this year, so that [the kids] are not too far apart in ages. A little girl! Dios mio, me muero ... But we're going to talk about that later on. It would be irresponsible to do it now."
When asked if he and his partner will be tying the knot anytime soon, Ricky adds:
"We are not talking about it, we're not thinking about it. But I'm so happy that in Europe we have the option. It's amazing to think that we can say, 'I feel like it. I'm ready. Let's go.' "
Martin will soon be appearing in the Broadway revival of the musical Evita as Che Guevara.
Ricky Martin is back for a second Behind the Music, but unlike the first one he did for VH1, the Latin pop star is talking about his life as a closeted gay man.
Ricky, most famous in the U.S. for his '90s hit "Living La Vida Loca," was seen as a sex symbol in the public eye, so he had trouble balancing that reputation with his private life. In the clip above, provided by Entertainment Weekly, the singer admits:
“I was trying to believe so hard from the bottom of my heart that I was not gay because what I was presenting on stage was not that. So it was very confusing.”
Ricky came out in 2010 and admitted to reporters this past spring that he had "been through an intense spiritual process for the last five years, especially the last two years. I needed to share it with the world." He is now a proud single papa to twins Matteo and Valentino.
Behind the Music: Ricky Martin will premiere Sunday, August 14, on VH1.
Ricky Martin is showing diversity on all levels in the music video for his latest single The Best Thing About Me Is You.
Although his new album isn't hitting stores until next month, the Livin' La Vida Loca singer is proud to support equality for all ... even displaying a painted equal sign on his chest.
Last March, the sexy Latin singer wrote on his website, "I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am."
We are fortunate that Ricky goes shirtless in the video. Muy caliente, indeed!
Ricky Martin is opening up about falling in love and raising kids in the January 2011 issue of UK's Attitude magazine.
The 38-year-old Latin superstar, who is currently raising twins Matteo and Valentino, says his love life has taken a few turns over the years. Ricky tells the mag:
“I used to fall in love quickly. When you are young you are open to taking risks and not afraid of anything. Now my priorities are different. I have children and they are the most important thing in my life. OK, I’m in a relationship and I know how lucky I am.”
Martin recently performed on CBS' Home for the Holidays special, and the Puerto Rican singer had adoption on his mind. After performing his latest single Shine, the openly gay singer revealed:
“Even though I started with surrogacy, adoption is probably my next step. I had to be here as a father… 20,000 children have been beautifully impacted by this project. Adoption is beautiful. Give it a try!”
Out Magazine is celebrating 200 issues with cover boy Ricky Martin and four other celebrities who have had major breakthroughs for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trangender community. They are part of the 100 most compelling people who are profiled in Out's December issue.
Martin, who is openly gay, tells the mag:
"I am Hispanic, and I am a gay man, and they both struggle. Is it a big responsibility? It can be as big as I want it to be."
As for Out's Artist of the Year, Julianne Moore, she had this to say about her current movie role:
“I don’t think a movie like The Kids Are All Right could be made if this wasn’t the way that families are living today all over the United States. I choose a part because I’m interested in the role, the director, the script. I don’t go looking for something that seems political, but by virtue of the roles being intensely personal, it becomes that way.”
The others gracing the special double issue's cover are MSNBC news anchor Rachel Maddow, Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir, and designer and TV star Nate Berkus.
