Rihanna To Star In Bodyguard Remake?

We told you Rihanna was eyeing a movie role, and now it looks like she's following in the footsteps of Whitney Houston. Er...yeah, in more ways than one!
According to the NY Daily News, one of Rihanna's meetings in The Big Apple was about a proposed remake of the 1992 Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner film, "The Bodyguard." Obviously, Rihanna would take on Whitney’s role, and hunky GI Joe star Channing Tatum has been tapped to play Costner’s role as the bodyguard.
Do you wanna see Rihanna in this film? Or would you rather see another young starlet take her place?
Hey, at least Channing is gonna be in it!

Rick Moranis should be the bodyguard and
Whoopie Goldberg should be the damsel in distress.
Or switch the story around, make it more interesting and funny, like have
Whoopie Goldberg as the bodyguard and have her rescue an unwilling subject like Joaquin Phoenix.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Guerilla face would not be right for this role! Anyway, she can't sing people! She is a performer not a singer. Maybe put Jennifer Hudson in that part. She can sing and she is beautiful.

No. This is NOT a good idea right now for Rihanna. She can't afford to lose publicity, but yet, she's not gonna be accepted as an actress this soon. She needs to get this legal issue with Chris out of the way first and then tell the world that she's not really with Chris. This is what her PR people should be advising her.
Hollywood is sick, if all they do is remake movies and Spiderman is sickening too. it would have been more interesting with a new cast.

i dont understand why people are so harsh on these young starlets? i believe that every human being deserves a second chance. rihanna will make a good actress
