Russell gained the weight for a movie he just filmed. He's done it before. I don't get why X17 is making a big deal about it. Actors always gain and lose weight for roles.
Gained weight for Body of Lies? No. He was just fat. He's a fat man who has to work very, very hard to lose wieght. He'll have to get a gastric bypass if he wants to stay in movies.

Russell is filming State of Play. Body of Lies was shot more than a year ago and has already been released in theatres.

I think he looks great. Fell head over heals for this man in Gladiator and haven't looked back since. He's the ultimate Male Human Being, always has been, always will be. I actually like it when a guy is a little bigger, skinny men are real turn off for me. I'd snuggle up with this studly hotty any day of the week! :-9 Thanks Russell for being such an awesome guy! Re: RC - he's looking *great* in that first pic - ITA that the second is "off" somehow. He's a strange dude tho - the camera adds *serious* weight to his frame - IRL he's much trimmer than he ever looks on film, especially in stills. He was skin, bone and muscle for "Cinderella Man" but still had a barrel torso - *ANY* extra weight looks twice as heavy on him as on a guy with fewer guts. ;)
