Ryan Talks About His Phil-ings

Ryan Phillippe may seem like a calm and collected cat whenever we see him out and about - but away from the cameras, it sounds like Ryan's been cryin' over Reese Witherspoon! The actor recently gave an interview to Man About Town (via Us) where he describes himself as being "a physical wreck" after his divorce from Reese, claiming "I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit." Thankfully, Ryan seems to have been pulled back from the brink by his kids - he describes his life as a father as being "fuller and more complicated". Sounds like he's used this ordeal as a chance to mature - and we couldn't be happier for the guy!
Besides, it's not all bad news for Ryan - according to the interview, since the divorce, he describes being able to cry on cue as being "f*cking easy"!

He wasn't crying over Reese, he was crying about being divorced and knowing he wasn't going to be living with his children everyday. He forgot about that when he was prancing around. He also never thought his ex would meet somebody else.
He likes to play "Mr. Mom" for the cameras. While I think he is a serious daddy,I also think it's "good for his image" to be seen with his kids. I notice there are never pictures of him doing things "socially" at night, like there are of Reese. I also notice the kids seem more serious, even a little tense with him. I'm sure the back and forth stuff is hard on the kids and I also think the kids don't handle the paparazzi attention as well when with Ryan. Ryan is emotionally immature. He was crying bcz his lifestyle was disrrupted, even though he was the primary cause of the mess. It is possible they just weren't suited to each other and grew apart. Reese had to mature very quickly bcz our society places the biggest burden on the girl to be a good wife and mother, and not as much on the boy to be a good husband and father. As Reese matured Ryan was like her oldest child. He was good with the kids, but not so good as a husband. Doesn't make him a bad person. Except he lied for so long. It just means they probably stayed together a lot longer than the marriage deserved.
