Just because Hollywood's about to anoint a new set of actors, actresses, and movies as royalty doesn't make last year's winners chopped liver! Let's take a look back to a simpler time known as "2006" and see what Tinseltown was digging...

I love Crash. It definitely deserved the best movie oscar. I saw Capote, Philip Seymour's Performance was good, but Joaquin Phoenix should have won the Best Actor Oscar last year for Walk The Line. He was amazing in that film. Worst best film winner? Chicago.

I absolutely agree that Crash was the WRONG movie to win Best Picture. The movie was awful; too much hype + overacting, outdated celebrities = one giant waste of time. The awards people must have been smoking crack that year because 3 6 Mafia also won an oscar for some lame song about drugs. Please!
Crash was a ridiculous movie. The way it played, it's a wonder any of our cultures mix -- I'd had no idea i should be so terrified of my Hispanic, Black and Asian friends until I saw that movie!
And anyone who liked it needs to get out more often...
Babel was what Crash aspired to be.
Similar to American Beauty and The Ice Storm -- The Ice Storm was a far superior film with real relationships at stake! Kevin Spacey ruins every film he's in because he is so enamored of his own genius -- boring! Who didn't know he was Kaiser Sozee?
