And The Nominees For The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Are ...

Dec 16, 2010 12:14 PM

sawawards230.jpg Awards season is officially in full swing!

The 17th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nominees were announced this morning with The Social Network, Black Swan, and The King's Speech continuing to clean up with nominations!

All three movies were chosen for the Best Cast ensemble category, and Jesse Eisenberg, Colin Firth, and Natalie Portman all nabbed nominations for Best Actor/Actress.

Natalie Portman was wonderful in Black Swan, but we vote newcomer Jennifer Lawrence for Best Actress in Winter’s Bone! She was simply captivating as a near-homeless teenager who goes on a mission to track down her fugitive father and save her family's home. Amazing performance!

Not surprising, Glee and Modern Family continue to lead the TV pack with noms for Best Comedy Series Cast, Best TV Actor/Actress: Chris Colfer/Jane Lynch (Glee), and Ty Burrell/Sofia Vergara (Modern Family). We bet Ed O'Neill will keep his mouth shut on the Best TV Actress category this time, or at least try to avoid the TV Guide Canada crew! Drama!

The Screen Actors Guild Awards will be held January 30th in Los Angeles, and airs live on TNT and TBS.
