Salma Hayek has been taking Paris Fashion Week by storm, and we're not surprised she went all-out glam for her husband's Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2012-13 fashion show!

The sexy Latina rocked a burgundy dress, sky high heels, and massive shades for the big event... and she probably stole the show!

It's a shame Salma won't be appearing on-screen for her next project! The 45-year-old fashionista has teamed up with Doha Film Institute to bring Kahlil Gibran's classic novel The Prophet to theaters as an animated feature.

Wonder if she will voice a character in the film?!

Will we have to start calling her Dame Salma Hayek?

The Puss In Boots actress was recently among those named by President Nicolas Sarkozy in his official New Year's list to be honed with the Légion d'Honneur, the five-tiered honor academy with the grade of Chevalier or "Knight," it was announced on Sunday.

Hayek will receive a formal induction, which involves a Presidential pinning reportedly taking place within the next twi months at the Élysées Palace.

The Legion of Honor award, which was founded by Napoleon in 1802, is given to military personnel and civilians for service to France, and those of international standing -- Selma's hubby, Billionaire Fracois-Henri Pinault, is French.

Hayek's father-in-law, Francois Pinault, was also promoted in the same list to the Legion's exalted rank of Grand Officer.

While promoting Puss In Boots in Paris with co-star Antonio Banderas, Ms. Hayek tripped on her way out of the George V hotel ... and nearly ate it! Daughter Valentina, who was holding mom's hand, was also almost pulled to the ground. Whew ... that could have been nasty!

Salma's hubby Francois-Henri Pinault did not attend the screening with his stunning 45-year-old wife. She could have used his arm to hold on to.

Despite the awkward step, Salma was able to keep it together.

What a purrfectly adorable pair!

The film broke box office records the first weekend it was released, and Spanish hotties Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas celebrated the success of animated flick Puss in Boots with a press conference in Mexico City, Mexico, on Wednesday.

The lovely Latina donned a blue and gold Bottega Veneta dress with Giuseppe Zanotti heels, while co-star Banderas wore a black suit with a button down shirt.

The Zorro star, who is a defender of the rights of Hispanics in the United States, said in the press conference that when he first came to Hollywood, he was only offered roles of "Drug traffickers, thieves ... those are for us, they told me."

He added, "That is changing because there has been a community (of people) who have worked very hard to send their children to the universities and today hold positions of power, and that is reflected in Hollywood."

Salma Hayek is sure staying abreast of promoting her new animated movie, Puss In Boots!

We caught up with the curvy star as she hit the Late Show With David Letterman set in New York to chat with Dave about the movie. Since Letterman is known for flirting with his lady guests, we're guessing he'll have a field day with Salma!

Salma Hayek opens up about her marriage to French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault (he's worth $11.5 billion) in the latest issue of Redbook.

The Puss in Boots star, 44, says that while it's "nice" being married to a billionaire, she makes her own way:

"I work hard, I make my own living and I love it. I like having financial independence. I don't ever want to have to depend on anyone completely."

Pinault, 49, is CEO of a company that owns several fashion labels, but Salma says her husband doesn't support her, and doesn't tell her how to dress either.

"I’m still a Mexican. I like to play fashion with him, but I'm nobody's Barbie."

Pinault is currently in an expensive custody battle with ex Linda Evangelista.

Salma Hayek's husband, billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, is speaking out about his child support case with ex Linda Evangelista for the first time.

Supermodel Evangelista is seeking $46,000 a month in child support, claiming Pinault has never helped her with their 4-year-old son, Augustin.

Pinault tells French Elle that's not true, saying:

"He is totally integrated within my family ... at every possible opportunity he has participated in my family life whether in France or the United States."

Augustin is not much older than Valentina, Henri's daughter with Hayek. Evangelista wants money for childcare, security and more for Augustin.

Salma Hayek and 4-year-old daughter Valentina were all smiles at The Venice Film Festival on Sunday.

Of course, that may because the two got plenty of helping hands as they descended into a boat, where Salma's hubby (and Valentina's pops) Francois-Henri Pinault awaited.

The family seemed particularly carefree given that Pinault is currently engaged in a legal battle with ex Linda Evangelista. But, they did get some joy from celebrating Salma's 45th birthday, which was Friday!
