Samantha Ronson Facing Criminal Investigation For Dog Attack

Posted on Tue Aug 31, 2010 01:35 PM PDT

samanthasdogattacked200.jpgSamantha Ronson's bulldog, Cadillac, has left the DJ facing a criminal investigation after the dog attack yesterday that resulted in the death of a neighbor's small maltese.

The Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control tells X17online that the "attack is substantial" enough to warrant such an investigation. It was yesterday just after 11am when police responded to a dog biting call at the West Hollywood apartment complex where Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan call home.

Samantha, who publicly apologized for the attack on her Twitter account, will most likely not face jail time. Animal Control adds:

"It was an accident. She didn't open the door to her apartment and say 'attack.' Right now, the main concern is whether the dog is a threat to anybody else at this point. We've heard that she's sending her dog to the East Coast, so most likely, the dog will be quarantined in a location that's safe."

As for whether Cadillac will be euthanized, we're told "probably not." The bulldog would only be put down "if there's an irresponsible owner, but that doesn't seem to be the case."

Animal Control says that Ronson is not being treated any different than the average person. In fact, they tell us "we didn't even know who she was when the call came in. All we saw on the report was the name Lohan."

X17online has learned the investigation could last up to three months.

Do you think Samantha is being let off too easy?

Kill both dogs
Take that jew to court but then her people will let her go

The dog mauling left Samantha Ronson "incredibly sad."

Depending on what investigators find out, things could be getting worse.

The celeb DJ and her bulldog Cadillac are at the center of a probe by animal control officials after the pooch's fatal attack Monday on another dog in Ronson's apartment building.

"It's a pending criminal prosecution," Deputy Director Michelle Roache of the Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control said.

"The attack was substantial."

"All we saw on the report was the name Lohan."

WTF??????

Was McCrackie-Head involved in this too?

Posted by: Anonymous

The dog has attacked animals twice and a human being at least once. Put it down.

Posted by: Anonymous

Lindsay probably set this up because Samantha has been ignoring her and not appearing with her in public.

'FU' Lindsay 2:01 PM #1

"But I've already trained him for our scene in the Linda Lovelace movie. Can't they put him down after we shoot the scene?"

@ 2.01
Animal control said in a statement that it has not attacked any humans thats a BS rumor that is going around along with all the other crap. It attacked the maltese thats all.

Posted by: Anonymous

Whoever called Animal Control was confused. Lohan is Samantha's bitch. Honest mistake.

Posted by: Anonymous

Too much interbreeding like the owner.

Save the dog, euthanize Samantha.

it is weird as i have not heard of many bulldog attacks over here in australia they are a timed animal just a dribbling snorting mess (bulldogs) as you can tell i am a fan of the bulldog not of the owner :)

She still has to submit to drug testing. She still has to attend alcohol education classes. She is still in outpatient treatment for addiction at UCLA. She is still making terrible decisions. And as noted in Vanity Fair from a publicist who has watched all this go down:

"She's Hollywood kryptonite right now. No one wants their name mentioned in the same breath as hers."

In most states once an animal has bitten or attacked a person the law usually considers it dangerious. Because Ronson was ordered to send the dog to obeadence school for a previous attack, she was on notice that her dog is dangerious & agressive. The dog that had been killed is/was used as a pet model; so it's value would be substanally more than that of just a family pet. Sam had better hope that Animal Control doesn't find her at fault and, her insurance covers this and is paid up.

Karma for Sam shooting off her mouth.

Dogs fight. Usually the bigger and stronger dog prevails.
The animal kingdom is ferocious and only the strongest survive.

Posted by: Anonymous

@2.44 get your facts right. the dog has not bitten a person but another dog.

Posted by: Anonymous

Who let the dogs out???

Posted by: Anonymous

Was Lindsay suppose to watch the dog?

Sam Ronson's Dog Cadillac Hits the Road
...Cadillac previously bit another dog in the building and Sam agreed to send the pooch to a 3-week doggie boot camp for socialization. Cadillac returned home just 5 days ago.

BULLSHIT

Posted by: Anonymous

Never heard of an english bulldog killing another dog. Did the dog sit on the small dog?

Posted by: Let the headache begn

@2:49
As for not having ever attacked a person, that's yet to be determined. We'll have to wait for Animal Control to finish their investigation. Fact is Sam knew her pet tended to be agressive, why else send it away. None the less, however you wish to parse it Sam's in for a major headache.

Posted by: Anonymous

sad thing is, Cadillac is more attractive than Sam

Posted by: Anonymous

Cadillac is/was a pus*y magnet for Sam. She'd be very sad to see him go.

Which crime is worse - a dog killing another dog
or a beautiful dancer,singer,actress,designer,model,businessperson
missing a couple alcohol classes?

@ 3.24 Animal control released a statement saying that no human being was bitten in response to false reports. Get your facts right. They are investigating a dog on dog attack.

Posted by: Anonymous

looks like she shipped the dog out of state to prevent it from being put down

Posted by: Anonymous

They both should be put down.

Caddy is going to jail and then rehab ..She is a bad dog.

Awwwwwwwww.........twouble seems to follow Linds where ever she goes.

Posted by: Anonymous

Get your facts straight. Are you a professional in the law?
A dog does not need to bite to be deemed dangerous.
A dog does not need to die to have it's attacker ruled vicious.
Each jurisdiction has different qualifications to the legal ruling. HOW MANY of you pontificators have read your own ordinances?
If not, then shut it! Ignorance is no platform for discontent.
If you own a dog and do not know the letter of the law, then you are a target and an idiot. The best offense is self defense.

A DOG THAT ATTACKS SHOULD HAVE A DOG COLLAR ALL THE TIME. I HAVE A MALTESE SHE ONLY WALKS ON THE LEASH AND SOMETIMES PEOPLE LEAVE THEIR BIG DOGS WALK WITHOUT A LEASH. AND THEY GO AFTER MY DOG,. IT IS NOT RESPECTFUL TO OTHERS .

Posted by: Anonymous

Some of the comments on here are definately made by fucktards

Posted by: Anonymous

yes

Posted by: Anonymous

was cadillac on a leash? and didn't someone else let the dog out? regardless, some ppl should stop being such judgemental idiots. accidents happen-that's life, the maltese was not on a leash, it's not always so easy to predict an animal's behavior-especially with other animals, and when a smaller dog gets into it with a larger one, i think we all know who's gonna get hurt.

Posted by: Anonymous

Why were either of these dogs roaming the halls.

Posted by: lola

I had a Dog that loved humans, but everytime she saw another dog she would freak out! I couldn't let her near any other dogs. Wierd thing is.... she would be the one to get hurt cuz she'd try to attack dogs twice her size! She loved people though. My guess is she was trying to protect me from the dogs. She was never taught to attack anything. Bottom line... unless the Dog is trained it will most likely happen again. If A dog senses a threat He/She will do anything to protect you..

Posted by: Leila

I have a small dog - Maltese size - but he thinks he is a Rottweiler and literally tries to attack every dog he sees, so I keep him away from other dogs. Sam's dog may have attacked this other dog, but it may have been provoked or attacked first - just because it was a Maltese, doesn't mean it couldn't be the aggressor. My dog has been through training sessions, but alas, tried to attack a dog there too. The only thing I can do now is keep him away from other dog and try to find a dog whisperer who can figure him out. Just because your dog kills another animal, doesn't mean your dog is the aggressive one.

Posted by: Anonymous

Leila,
You're exactly right. I have a little dog too, who luckily I keep on a leash and harness at all times. She thinks she's my great protector. She starts barking at a huge German Shephard, not on a leash. I guess she said something he didn't like, that dog came charging at her. I had to jerk her up into my arms just in the knick of time or that dog would have had her for a snack. The German Shephard owner was as upset as I was. I was okay, only because my pup wasn't mangled, just shook up, which served the little bully right. I can't understand how anyone can allow their pets out without a leash. This could have had a very bad ending if both dogs were not on leashes, as obviously Cadillac and the maltese were not.

Posted by: Mary

For the person who said the Maltese was a model and thus Sam would probably have to pay substanstial damage. If the dog was on a leash, then the Maltese owner might have a case, but since the dog was NOT on a leash the owner will also be responsible for the attack. Just letting this poor little thing walk down an apartment hall unprotected, shame on them!!!

Posted by: Anonymous

Since Cadillac is on the lame, animal control will probably not push their case that hard.

X17 Poll

What went wrong on The X Factor today with Britney Spears?

Britney definitely had another meltdown. This is proof she's not ready to step back into the spotlight!
I think Britney may have overreacted to a bad audition, but it will be entertaining to watch later!
I think Simon Cowell planned this all along. Brit probably even rehearsed it!
