"Oh" My Goodness!

Posted on Wed Nov 21, 2007 11:23 AM PDT

SANDRAO112107_01.jpgSandra Oh ALICIAKEY112107_06.jpgOnce again, celebs hit the streets in support of the striking writers, this time right in the heart of Tinseltown at the mall at Hollywood & Highland (which shares space with the famous Hollywood landmark Graumann's Chinese Theater, for the out-of-towners). The biggest names yesterday was probably Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Matt Dallas, and Alicia Keys (who stopped by to perform for the protesters), but we found our attention being drawn to Sandra Oh's animated and impassioned speech - jeez, Sandra, why don't you tell us how you really feel?

SANDRAO112107_02.jpgXY marks the spot!

ALICIAKEY112107_16.jpgMuch like shopping for art supplies, all that protesting can make a girl thirsty!

ALICIAKEY112107_17.jpgThe write stuff

As always, we're thrilled to see celebs out supporting the striking writers - every little (or not-so-little) bit helps!

Maybe as consumers we should boycott boring, redundant themes, such as found in Grey's Anatomy! YAWN!

Who cares about the writer's strike? Or any strike in Hollywood, Broadway, or any other media outlet? They make way too much money for the garbage lack of entertainment that they produce. Are we really supposed to care if any of the swill gets back on the air? Have you really missed any of the shows?
Most of all their stuff is just rehashed same ole junkie. This almost viewer doesn't care one iota about the trash writers in Hollyweird.

What I want to know....is why is it for a "cause" as such the LAPD is "COOPERATIVE" but when it comes to REAL CAUSES...relating to equality/justice/HUMAN RIGHTS...etc the MAJORITY of police departments start bashing CITIZENS of the USA.....common....I am American...but I am sick of AMERICA and the injustices and joke that it has become....and so is the majority of the world

Sandra Oh and her frying pan flat face.

I think looking at the bigger picture - what the Guild or their unions do, is irrelevant. We may not like all of the media they create, I think it is the principal that they are striking for that is. These "conglomorates" are making vasts amount of monies from there workers, pretty much the back bone of their industry, yet they have no problem doing it. It would seem a different tale if an organisation or person outside of the industry was making money off of their product and ideas, they would most likely sue on the basis of intellectual property infringement. What hypocracy. In this case the Guild need to work into their contract, the workers - the writers, should have individual exclusve rights to the media they create and thus get royalties off of their work much like an actor or singer would.

It doesn't matter what industry you are in. retail, manufacturing tourism whatever. Workers deserve their rights, and they deserve entitlements. Simple as that.

Go Sandra Oh. That speech was quite inspirational

I'm so proud of Sandra Oh for standing up and giving her support to the strikers! And Alicia Keys is GORGEOUS!!!! She does not need to lose any weight. We have enough stick figures in Hollywood-nice to see a 'real woman'!!!

Posted by: Al Waysright can't get it up

OH MY GOD! Al "Pole Smoker" Waysright actually semi-complimented a woman. What's the matter, pencil dick, your ass getting raw from all that cock it's been taking.

X17 Poll

What went wrong on The X Factor today with Britney Spears?

Britney definitely had another meltdown. This is proof she's not ready to step back into the spotlight!
I think Britney may have overreacted to a bad audition, but it will be entertaining to watch later!
I think Simon Cowell planned this all along. Brit probably even rehearsed it!
