Sarah Palin: Husband Todd Was First Choice For Dancing With The Stars
Posted on Wed Oct 6, 2010 04:45 PM PDT

Oops! Doesn't the former governor know this little slip doesn't make her daughter Bristol look good?
Sarah Palin had a speaking appearance in Houston on Tuesday and, of course, she dished about Dancing With the Stars, reports CNN political producer Peter Hamby. Palin said:
- "They wanted Todd to be on the show. I think that would have been cool to see, too. But here Bristol is, out of her comfort zone, doing something all new."
What a way with words! But does Sarah Palin realize that this not only reveals the show's producers didn't want Bristol to begin with, but also, she's kinda dissing her own daughter!
Sarah even goes on to say again that Bristol "is way out of her element, out of her comfort zone, and she is the first to admit that." Way to rub it in!
I mean, right?

Horrible woman!
The mother from hell !!!!!!!
Poor Bristol, she really needs to get away from her mom's clutches. She and Levi probably could have worked things out if it wasn't for Sarah's constant interference.
RUN Bristol RUN
I LIKE HER!!!!!!
ya know what-it doesnt matter what sarah palin says, people take it twist it and make it into something negative! get over it people! i am still a palin fan!
MORON ALERT!!
Bristol needs to get far far away from this idiot.
but she didn't learn to dance in ALASKA, folks!!
Twist her words any way you want to.
Here's my take on it:
Bristol has been horribly criticized by posters who say that she has some nerve going on this show, she's a nobody, a wannabe, and her mother's campaign staff arranged for DWTS to ask Bristol to be on the show to give Sarah publicity.
None of that is true, of course. Now, if Daddy was asked first, and declined, the next obvious choice from their family would be Bristol, because Sarah cannot go on this show.
You can see that DWTS needed to bump up their male celebrity list, as it is not very good, and two of the men, who were probably expected to do well, have already been eliminated. Todd Palin, handsome Todd, would have been a catch for the show. He would have gotten the same hate directed toward him, though, that Bristol has gotten.
I kinda wish Sarah had kept quiet about this situation, but I don't see it as a negative for Bristol. Every season, you have no idea how contestants end up on the show.
What about poor Harry Hamlin probably forced to go on after Lisa Rina did a good job? He was simply awful, yet no one hated him for going on.
Yes, Bristol is out of her element in that she was a basketball player during high school and not a dance/drama person at all. I think it's great when the celebrities are really out of their comfort zone and perform far above expectations anyway. In my book, they get even more points for working so hard and daring to be brave enough to do it.
Sarah Palin is not an idiot, no matter what you political haters say. Bristol is not an idiot, either. Why don't y'all act like decent human beings?

Been a conservative all my life, but Sarah Plain is so bad for conservative politics for so many reasons. You cannot tell this woman anything, she knows it all. If she runs for President she will split the conservative vote and we will get for more years of...ah hell..it does not make any difference, we would get four more years of this crap if the conservatives were elected...
I don't see the harm in any of he comments. I could care less about DWTS or the Palins, but her comments were not critical of her daughter. They were merely statements of fact.
x17, leave the political comments to the pros, stick to meaningless celeb gossip.
One jealous woman! Just for a little while let your daughter have her fun and memories...it doesn't always have to be about you.
I get it... you don't like the Palins. You should leave your biased politics to yourself and stick to celebrity gossip - I certainly do NOT go to your site for my political news.
LMMFAO.. Palin in the white house. You people have got to be kidding me. I, find it really f%c*ed up that you people sit here and bash Obama. How soon you fools forget what BS Bush and his dipwad father caused this country, and poor obama has the job of cleaning this up, and you people keep bashing him. well i have some news for you Obama will be re-elected. I, mean come on who else is there that can clean this crap up palin or newt, come on man give me a break. Bottom line its time for the people of this country to take back our country and run these so-called fools the hell out of washington, and while we are at it run all these damn Illegals the hell out.
I'm sure that makes Bristol feel awesome, havin her mom blab that she was second choice...Not. I feel for her having to deal with a mom like that.
