Sean Kingston Reveals He Had Open-Heart Surgery After Jet Ski Crash

Sean Kingston sat down with MTV for his first interview since his Memorial Day weekend jet ski crash, and revealed that his situation was much more dangerous than the public might have known.
After the crash, the media knew that Kingston was in the ICU with a broken jaw and water in his lungs. But Kingston told MTV's Sway that his condition was even more dire.
- Kingston: “It was a tragic situation. I had open-heart surgery … I had two other surgeries … it was a life-or-death surgery."
Sway: "You almost died?"
Kingston: "Yeah."
Luckily, Kingston is doing well now. He's heading to LA soon to start working on a new album.

Kingston spent last weekend in Miami with his "little brother," Justin Bieber -- they shopped and hung out together. Laughter is the best medicine!
