Wild Times In Rome For Sean Penn
Posted on Thu Oct 25, 2007 03:25 PM PDT

Sean Penn's been trying to get Into The Wild made for over a decade - but if the reaction in Rome is any indication, it's been worth the wait! Reuters reports that the reclusive star's newest feature received a deafening ovation yesterday afternooon, and we're certain Sean fully appreciated all the applause. (Well, maybe not "fully" - as Sean himself said [and Into The Wild star Emile Hirsch's quizzical expression perhaps confirms], he'd shown up for the festival after having "too many rums and red wine last night"!)
Too many rums, eh?
The dynamic duo
The director yells "Cut"!
Better chug some black coffee, Sean - you're in a city full of appreciative cineastes, and after last night, they all want to pick your brains!

I wouldnt piss on Sean Penn if he was on fire. However I might throw an alcoholic berage on him.
I've seen a couple of movies with Emile Hirsch...he's hot, however what's up with his hair here? I hope it's for a movie. And Sean Penn...shit...someone please inform him that he's over the hill and his ego is waaaaaaay out of control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good god, how short is emile hirsch?
i like sean penn, although i disagree with him on most points and on his methods. he's one of a very few celebrities who's actually actively sought to make himself look older and frankly, worse. i enjoy how little he seems to care about himself.
haha what a pose from sean!looks like a retard!
Penn is one of the best actors and now he is also one of the best directors.
5:13, U are so right on. Sean Penn is one of the most highly talented actors of all time. Finally he is getting his due. One of the most complex intriguing individuals who just happens to have serious talent of our time.
I can not stand Sean Penn. He is a prime example of why actors should stick to saying lines. When they go "off book" they end up proving how ignorant and unintelligent they really are.
I see Sean Penn and it's like drinking poison. I don;t care if he is talented or not, he is an American hater a women hater (ask Madonna-he used to hit her. He may be a success in Italy, but here in United States people hate his guts. I would not wish him to die, but I will open a bottle of champagne the day he died. A fucking communist bastard! Like father, like son.
He's lookin' a bit like Bernie from 'Weekend at Bernies'.
Little man and FREAK!
sean penn is an awesome actor, but i think he is such a jackass.
i love sean he's soooooooo talented love him in carlitos way with al pacino

Just another Hollywood traitor to this country and left-wing communist.

Sean Penn, like most artists......marches to the tune of a different drum. He is brilliant and has great sex appeal as an actor.
What year are we in ?Judging by some of the comments back in the 50's, get a grip america you should be proud of one of your best actors, and independent thinkers!
