Duh! It's Not Really A Movie

Looks like Selena Gomez got a little bit ahead of herself! The other Disney girl told MTV that her TV show, Wizards of Waverly Place was headed to the big screen, but not so, says her rep.
Yesterday MTV News asked the 16-year-old if a film was in the works, and Gomez responded, "Yes! We actually want to shoot it here in New York," but Gomez's rep told MTV News today that the project in development is actually a Disney Channel made for TV movie, not an actual film.
How embarrassing! And for all the people who say that Selena will replace Miley (blah blah blah), all we have to say is ha! Miley has already wrapped production on two major motion pictures (you know, the kind you see in a theater, not on a TV screen); Bolt, which hits theaters on November 21 and Hannah Montana: The Movie, which will be released in April of 2009.
