Selena Gomez On Justin Bieber Pre-Split: "I'm Having Fun"

Selena Gomez covers the new issue of Nylon, and while she's single now, she wasn't at the time she gave the interview ... whoops!

When asked about on-again/off-again beau Justin Bieber, Selena said, "I'm having fun. At the end of the day, love is such a normal thing, and everyone deals with it. Just because it's a different lifestyle doesn't change the meaning of what I've been raised on, which is fairy tales."

Selena and the Biebs had a blow out fight on New Year's Eve in Mexico, and while she's been scarfing down junk food and posting cryptic tweets, she has been spending quite a bit of time with her gal pals, including Vanessa Hudgens and Taylor Swift. "We both experienced the same things at the same time," Gomez said of Swift. "But we've never once talked about our industry. She just became the person I'd go to for an issue with my family or boyfriend. It's so hard to trust girls, so I'm lucky to have her."

On her racy role in the upcoming movie Spring Breakers, Gomez said she had to get a bit of a tutorial in how to be a bad girl. "I had to have someone show me how to hold the cigarette ... I definitely felt that with my first stepping-out role, I should choose something that I could understand a little more. I was really nervous, but Harmony [Korine] took a chance with me. He said, 'You live in this bubble, and I'm going to take you out of it, but you have to trust me.'"
