A very pregnant Shakira and her boyfriend Gerard Pique came out to support her father at his book launch in Barcelona last night, and even though the "Hips Don't Lie" singer tried her best to downplay her expanding figure in an all black outfit, there's no denying that she's mere weeks away from finally meeting her little boy!

The Colombian bombshell's fans were tricked into thinking she gave birth last month, when her soccer player beau played a "Dia de Los Inocentes" prank, which is the equivalent of April Fools Day in the U.S.

"Our son is already born! We are very happy! Thank you for all your messages! He already has a name! His name is Innocence! Happy Day of the Innocents!" he tweeted Dec. 28.

The Latina pop princess has been hard at work gearing up for her judging duties on The Voice, so she's going to be one busy mama when her little bundle makes his big debut!

Shakira and her boyfriend Gerard Pique appeared to have welcomed a little boy into the world as he announced the news on his Twitter account today, but is it for real?

“Ya ha nacido nuestro hijo! Estamos muy felices! Gracias a todos por vuestros mensajes!” Pique tweeted in Spanish, which translates to, “Our son [is] already born! We are very happy! Thank you all for your messages!”

While the post seems genuine, the timing could be a bit suspicious as he posted the message at the start of el Dia de los Santos Inocentes (The Day of the Innocents), Spain and Latin America's version of April Fools Day. If that's the case then they sure fooled everyone but if not, congrats you two!

Shakira's ex-boyfriend, Antonio de la Rua, is suing her for $100 million for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty, claiming that she owes him for "past and future partnership profits," according to papers filed in New York on November 20.

De la Rua, who dated the Grammy winner from 2000 to 2010, claims that four years into the relationship, she asked him to take control of the "Shakira brand." He says that she agreed to give him a share of the profits from her music and business ventures "in exchange for the contribution of his business and marketing skills, knowledge and expertise." De la Rua's father Fernando is the former president of Argentina, and he helped managed his campaign in the late 90s, so his claims aren't entirely out of left field.

Though Shakira and del la Rua merely had an "oral agreement," he claims he helped build her brand to new heights by securing multi-million-dollar deals and convincing her to record one of her most popular songs, "Hips Don't Lie." When the couple split in 2010, Shakira wrote on her website that they would "continue to be partners" in business, but a year later she severed their professional ties.

Shakira is worth an estimated $140 million, and she filed her own writ of summons in October claiming that de la Rua misappropriated funds during his tenure as her business manager. It's getting ugly!

Shakira is nearing the final stages of her first pregnancy, and although most women get antsy towards the end, this pop star is delighting in every minute!

The "Hips Don't Lie" singer posted this snapshot to her Instagram account with the caption, "I could have another 9 months like this! Shak."

The 35-year-old curvaceous beauty is due sometime in early 2013, but she won't get much of a maternity leave! In addition to releasing a new album in March, the Colombian cutie is also taking over judging duties for Christina Aguilera on next season of The Voice.

Let's hope she's got as much energy as she does in her music videos!

Even while pregnant with her first child, Shakira is staying busy as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

The "Hips Don't Lie" singer spoke to a group of young girls in Azerbaijan ... stressing the importance of education and child development.

The songstress released the following statement:

“The government of Azerbaijan, as well as the civil society in general, should work hand-in-hand to be able to guarantee that every child goes to school.”

The pair opted to watch Skyfall on their romantic date, and the "Hips Don't Lie" crooner kept in casual for the flick in a loose fitting top and black pants. The 37-year-old is already six months along, so we don't have to wait much longer for the baby's big arrival!

"Concerning the name, we just haven't been able to decide. There are ridiculous names, like Ulisito, that came out of the press' need to report nonsense. There was also Biel, which we like, but I don't think it will be that one either, or Gerard. We'll see," Pique recently told RAC Radio.

Sounds like someone is expecting a boy!

Shakira announced on her official website today that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Gerard Pique.

"As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days. This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, but I'm sure this weekend in Las Vegas will be spectacular and I will be closely following everything that happens there! I'd like to thank Clear Channel and my fans for their constant love and understanding. Big kiss! And will see you very soon!" she wrote in a message to her fans.

The Colombian pop star and her FC Barcelona soccer player beau confirmed their relationship in March 2011 and have been inseparable ever since.

This joyous baby news isn't the only thing the "Hips Don't Lie" singer is celebrating these days! The songstress recently signed on as a replacement coach for Christina Aguilera on The Voice.
