Sharon's Son Strapped Into a Dangerous Position?

Although she did at least strap him down to a booster seat, Sharon Stone may be flirting with danger by positioning her six-year-old son Roan into the front seat of her new Bentley!
It's not illegal, but child safety dictates that the best place for a child of that size/age is the back seat - in part because of the danger from air bags that may deploy in the event of a crash (and you can see that even with the booster, he's sitting a bit low to the ground.)
The Bentley may just be a two-door, but it does have a backseat!
Sharon's family's had some bad luck with mishaps in the past (remember her ex's dragon/toe incident?), let's hope she doesn't run into any bad luck with her son in the front seat of her car!

Where I come from, pickups are many times family transportation. Not all pickups have backseats. However, all pickups with airbags have a switch to turn them off. Not everyone has the luxury of a back seat. Get real here!

Wyoming's child-restraint law
Anyone transporting children on Wyoming roads must use appropriate child safety restraints for all children 8 years of age or younger and weighing 80 pounds or less.
Children must ride in a seat other than the front seat in any vehicle equipped with more than one row of seats. The law's requirements are based on the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Partners for Child Passenger Safety.
Research has shown children weighing less than 80 pounds are still too small to be properly protected by seat belts designed for adults.
Lap belts can ride up on the abdomen of children, putting them at risk of internal injuries during a crash. Shoulder belts often are too high to fully protect a child from head injuries.
For children between 40 and 80 pounds, a booster seat makes sure the seat belt is positioned to provide the full protection it was designed to give.
Safety groups recommend rear-facing child seats for children up to 20 pounds and 1 year old, forward-facing child seats for those between the ages of 1 and 4 and between 20 and 40 pounds, and belt-positioning booster seats for children between 40 and 80 pounds.
Wyoming's child-restraint law is termed a "primary" enforcement law. That means, when an officer witnesses an unrestrained child in a vehicle, he may make a stop and cite the driver. The fine for a first offense is $60, for a second or thereafter, $110.

i believe it's illegal in ny...you have to be 12 to sit in the front the last i heard. and to you people who are saying it's safer in the front, well, think again and look up some statistics...they don't call the front passenger seat "the death seat" for nothing...it's the most dangerous seat in the car...i thought that was common sense? well, actually, it is...i guess people are just lacking that!
