Shia LaBeouf: "I'm Learning How To Edit Myself"
Posted on Wed Jun 29, 2011 09:00 AM PDT
Shia LaBeouf made headlines Monday when Details magazine released its interview with the star, in which he revealed that he and former Transformers Megan Fox had hooked up.
It seems a day of having your name in news all over the world will spark a change of heart.
At Tuesday night's Transformers: Dark of the Moon NYC premiere, he told Access Hollywood:
- "I just turned 25, and I’m learning how to edit myself and say 'no comment' now.â€
Indeed.
Shia's Transformers co-star Patrick Dempsey stuck up for him, but said Shia has a lot to learn.
- “He’s always very candid, that’s who he is and you have to respect that in him. He’s a young man who’s learning a great deal every day. He’s a great actor to work with… I have nothing but good things to say about him. He’s a really nice guy.â€
So far, Fox has not commented on the story.
In case you missed Shia's exact words, read them after the jump.
LaBeouf told Details:
- "Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them. I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen."
When asked if Fox, 25, was together with now-hubby Brian Austin Green at the time, LaBeouf said, “I don’t know, man. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know,†repeating the phrase 12 separate times, then added, “It was what it was.â€
