We're right there with you Simon!

During a conference call promoting the new season of X-Factor, Simon Cowell was asked about the possibility of judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato performing on stage with contestants, but the British exec had a better idea.

"I'd love to see a Britney and Demi duet!" he confessed.

As for NBC's decision to air an episode of The Voice the same night as the premiere of X-Factor, Cowell insists the overlap was calculating.

"I think this is the reason NBC decided to put The Voice up against us. I think it's a spoiling tactic. It's very simple - they don't want people to see this first episode. I think it's mean spirited, and I hope and I pray that it backfires on them, because this is one of the best shows we've ever made. I am pissed off about it because I think it's kind of a gentleman's agreement. We have to rely on the viewers making the right selection. I think three nights in a row [of The Voice] is too much, and I think there's a lot of interest in our show because of Britney, Demi... we will see what happens."

In terms of possible hosts, Cowell revealed he is looking for not one, but two, personalities that are new to hosting.

"My gut feeling is we will probably go with a boy and a girl who haven't had any hosting experience, because I think that might make it more interesting. You know what, there's so much talking on these shows now, something like 7 or 12 minutes over a 2 hour show... it's just too boring, as Ryan [Seacrest] demonstrated, for one person to say everything. I think you have to mix it up a little bit. You gotta find people with good chemistry as well. I kinda know what we are looking for, which is why we screen tested some people."

So what's it like to work with Britney Spears?

"Britney is a fascinating person because you just don't know anything about her. She's very unpredictable and you never know what's going to happen. She has taken this very seriously, and she's suprisingly quite mean. In the past we've had judges who never say no, and she can't say no quick enough on the show. She's quite difficult to please. I like her a lot," Cowell gushed.

Demi Lovato couldn't agree more!

"The world hasn't gotten a chance to see her personality over the past couple years, and I think this is the perfect opportunity for people to really see the light inside of her shine. She's witty and fun and quirky," Lovato added.

The X-Factor premieres Wednesday Sept. 12 at 8 p.m ET/PT on FOX. We can't wait to tune in!

He does whatever he wants, whenever he wants!

Simon Cowell was snapped riding a jetski in St. Tropez yesterday, and the music mogul showed off his hairy chest as he zipped around on a jetski. The X Factor premieres on September 12, so Simon is enjoying a brief vacay with lady friend Sinitta and several other pals before returning to the states to get back down to business.

And speaking of lady friends, Australian pop star Dannii Minogue has finally commented on rumors that she had a fling with Simon after they both appeared as judges on the UK version of The X Factor from 2007 and 2010.

Tom Bower makes the claims in his unauthorized biography, Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell, and Dannii spoke out to Britain’s Glamour magazine about the alleged hookup. “I haven’t read the book, but I’ve been told about the excerpts that relate to me, and the speculation about my private life," she said. "From what’s been reported they put hundreds of hours into making this book, and Tom is a respected journalist. I’m sure it makes for a great read and I wish them all the best.”

It's not hard to see why the ladies love Simon Cowell!

The music mogul became an instant chick magnet after he touched down in Miami to hold auditions for the second season of The X-Factor early this week, and he definitely seemed to be enjoying it!

Cowell is in town with new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, and he recently told X17 of the divalicious duo: “She [Spears]’s a really, really good judge. Demi is a brat. But there’s something really likeable about her as well. That’s what they both bring and it works brilliantly.”

In other news, it was recently announced that Mariah Carey has signed on as the newest American Idol judge, and it sounds like the Grammy winner might be the next Paula Abdul. "I think she’s going to find it difficult to say no. You’ve got to say no to people. She’s sweet but I think she’ll be great. I got wind of this last week so I knew it was going to happen,” Simon recently revealed.

X-Factor returns to Fox on September 12.

While cruising through Beverly Hills in his chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce, Simon Cowell was more than willing to pull over and chat with us about all the drama that's surrounding X Factor this season, and he definitely set the record straight!

The music mogul confessed that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are "doing the best they can" as judges, revealing:

"I've worked with much harder. Honest to god they are doing the job we paid them to do, and they are doing a great job. They are both, albeit feverish, but we hired them for that. They are trying to find a star, and give constructive advice. They ought to be my mentor"

Cowell also revealed that Demi is a bit of a "brat," confessing: "She represents a younger audience and she's smart, but a bit of a brat. But I like brats." Though he had nothing but love for Britney, saying: "She's got amazing instincts, this girl. She could work for a record label; she knows how to spot a star. I am really impressed with her. She's smart, she knows what she's doing, and she wants to do a good job."

Simon added, "They've both been child stars. They want to find somebody else, and I'm very impressed with them."

Simon Cowell has finally found a car as big as his ego!

Despite all the drama that's been going down on the X Factor set this season, Simon appeared to be in good spirits while taking his vintage Ford Bronco for a spin down Sunset Boulevard, on Tuesday afternoon.

Now, not only is Britney Spears giving the music mogul a run for his money, it seems co-judge Demi Lovato is also demonstrating some diva-like behavior on set.

During an audition taping in San Francisco, the former Disney star reportedly took a break between auditions, and never came back. After waiting for quite some time, production was forced to go on without her. Drama!

Don't believe everything you read!

We caught Simon Cowell cruising around Beverly Hills in a towncar on Wednesday, and the X-Factor judge didn't hold back when asked about the rumors that Britney Spears was too emotionally unbalanced to handle the pressures of live TV.

"No she's not unstable, I'm the one that's unstable! She's working out great, she's doing a great job," he quipped to the cameras.

Asked if Britney was one of his favorite judges, he carefully answered by saying, "There's only two girls," referring to fellow judge Demi Lovato. In typical fashion, when asked who his favorite judge of all time was, our favorite British stud answered himself! "Yeah, I'd say Simon Cowell is a great guy. Very good looking."

So does he enjoy working with the "Toxic" singer? "Do you know what? Like I said, she's been amazing. She's really taking time to learn how to do this. She's got her confidence up. Once people give her a chance, I think people are really going to get her. It will be a big surprise. She's a tough judge."

Tougher than Mr. Cowell? "I'm a pussycat," he joked.

When you're Simon Cowell, you can never have too many luxury cars!

The mega music mogul was looking to add a new hot rod to his massive collection of expensive rides, and he took a break from filming X Factor to visit a Porsche dealership in Beverly Hills, on Wednesday afternoon.

Things have been a bit stressful for Cowell since he began shooting the second season of The X Factor with new judge Britney Spears, and it's been reported that the pop star has walked off the set so many times, he's beginning to regret ever hiring her!

Britney is reportedly earning $10 million for her new gig, but she was accused of being "unprofessional" after leaving her seat on her first day of filming in Austin, Texas. Spear's manager Larry Rudolph insists, "Everything is fine, Britney loves being on X Factor." If Brit's antics are actually just a publicity stunt to give the show more hype, it's definitely working!

After three long years of remodeling, Simon Cowell's $25 million mansion is finally suitable enough for the X Factor mogul to settle in!

The sprawling five-bedroom estate comes equipped with a state-of-the-art gym (so Simon can look good in those extra-tight tees!), a luxury spa with a wet steam room, a custom-made media room with a bar and plush leather seating for 20, a gallery to display Cowell's countless gold and platinum records and awards, an indoor lap pool, and separate staff quarters for a live-in butler and maid.

It's a bummer that his most recent ex-fiancee won't be joining him in the lavish sprawling estate, but luckily he bought Mezhgan Hussainy her very own $8 million abode as a consolation prize!
