X17 XCLUSIVE - Sophie Monk Recovering From Car Accident Injuries

After an accident just a few weeks ago, Sophie Monk is out of the wheelchair to which she's been confined, and back on her feet -- at least partially.

The Aussie singer-model sustained bruised hips, broken vertebrae, and a fractured foot when her Toyota Prius smashed into a Ford Explorer in mid-February.

We spotted the actress out today, meeting a friend for a late lunch at Sur in West Hollywood. She was gracious with photographers but, when asked how she was doing, told X17 shooters, "Not so well."

Godspeed, Soph!

what is with the high heel boots then??????

Posted by: Anonymous

You would think that if she were so badly hurt that she needed cruches, that she wouldn't be wearing those boots. Attention whore.

Posted by: Anonymous

If you are going to act hurt, then make sure your crutches fit, and don't wear boot. I can see that the bad acting spills over into real life.

Poor thing!
I was in a wheelchair for a while after an accident - and it was HORRIBLE!!!!!

Posted by: Anonymous

Her boots are probably the most comfortable. I always need to wear shoes with a good heel after having had foot surgery.
Don't bitch until you have walked a mile in her shoes.

wow there are some nasty ass posters on this site

For an active person like her, being tied down to wheelchair and crutches must surely be hell.

Ummm why didn't she get crutches that are the right length?! Her doctor would know that her using crutches that don't fit her would hinder the lealing process......

Posted by: Jade

The crutches were the right length before she put on 3 inch heel boots. I am sure her doctor gave them to her thinking she would wear flat shoes like I am sure she was advised to do.

Her boyfriend IS a doctor.

With a busted vertebrea and a crshed foot, she probably leans forward because its the most comfortable.

Flat shoes would hurt more. Looks like she is putting the weight on the balls of her feet and on her hand/crutches, which makes perfect sense.

It's just a temp condition anyway and it's doubtful she weighs much.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it will be a good two years before she can walk on that foot again without pain.
The bones will heal within a year or so but everytime he steps down on the foot it will hurt for that long.

Posted by: Anonymous

she needs to get the Gazelle for exercise or some other swing-through gait machine, that's what helped me. For sure, she won't be running or jogging for a long time.

wow there are some whiny ass posters on this site like 7:21

I do not think she could walk like this with a broken vertebrae.
Had one too, and couldn't move.

Well enough to wear 3 inch heeled boots. Granted I've never had a foot injury so I don't know if the heel makes the foot feel better, but perhaps a shorter, more stable heel would have been better, maybe a nice wedge?

If really have the injuries she claims to have, then a real doctor would have to been in a wheel chair to keep the weight of the injured area. Anyone who has ever had this problem knows this.
And it also takes at least nearly a year to recover.
The fact that her crutches are not adjusted in the proper manner is a dead give away that she uses the crutches for show.

(Sorry, I did not proof read the first post)
If she really have the injuries she claims to have, the a real doctor would have suggested the she stay in a wheelchair to keep the weith of the injured area. Anyone who has ever had this problem know this.
