Spencer Pratt Speaks Out About His Divorce From Heidi Montag
We weren't exactly shocked when Heidi Montag's lawyer confirmed that the 23-year-old had filed for divorce from hubby Spencer Pratt today, so we shouldn't be all that surprised that Spencer is already speaking out about the split.
"I love Heidi but our marriage was a show – it was part of The Hills world," Pratt said in a statement. "And that world is on a sound stage." Spencer then referred to himself in the third person and said, "It's clear that reality TV-fame-loving Spencer Pratt does not fit with my ex-wife Heidi Montag's ambitions for a motion picture actor/pop star career and being a single sex symbol for the world. Some say if you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen, Well, Heidi couldn't handle King Spencer's fame so she got out of the marriage."
Heidi has yet to speak about the matter, and when asked for a comment, her lawyer simply said, "Heidi is going through a difficult time."
Just a few hours ago, Spencer tweeted:
- Starting a new life on earth today. I think I will start by building my spacecraft to go live on MARS. Heard they are casting for realityTV ... This will be one of the best weekends of my life. You should all join me with that intention. This is the weekend of re-starts and takeovers."
Somehow, we have a feeling that the drama won't end with the signing of a few legal documents...
