The American Idol judge arrived at the Sunset Marquis on a custom green motorcycle. Once a rock star ... always a rock star.
Tyler, 63, got engaged last December to his 38-year-old girlfriend Erin Brady. The two will reportedly tie the knot in Hawaii or Thailand later this year. This will be the Aerosmith frontman's third marriage.
We have a feeling the fancy bike will stay here in LA.
Steven Tyler may be an old school rock star, but the 63-year-old American Idol judge is such a romantic!
The Aerosmith frontman, who proposed to his girlfriend Erin Brady in Hawaii late last year, filled the backseat of his black Porsche with tons of flowers from a West Hollywood flower shop. Talk about the perfect way to show your love on Valentine's Day.
Maybe Steven and Erin will find a creative place to get busy on this day for lovers. Perhaps ... in an elevator?
American Idol's sexiest judge stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday to chat with the talk show host about his recent engagement, how his bandmates found out he was joining American Idol, and reaching the two-year mark on his sobriety!
The Aerosmith singer tells DeGeneres on meeting now-fiancee, Erin Brady:
"The first time I saw her, she worked for Clear Channel, so she was
paying the band. And I didn't notice her, and one night she had on this hair
band on around her head. She looked really old fashion, so I took her back in
the room and she tied me up with it and I thought I'm marrying this girl. Exactly that way (laughing)."
The 63-year-old also revealed that he never actually told his bandmates he was joining American Idol as a judge, they simply found out for themselves. "A band is like, it's not women. It's men," Tyler said. "It's a different world. We keep a lot to ourselves. Don't often tell the truth. I fell off the stage doing a ZZ Top (song). We didn't speak to each other for the longest time. "
Steven then added that going away to Betty Ford to "fix the shoes that helped me slip," also helped him get two years sober.
"I can't get back into that world. I can stay high on stage and stay high. I mean out here with you right now my hearts pounding. Hearing you guys (the audience) roar. This what I live for today. But you never know if it's going to stick. I just keep with my program, wish and hope. I don't want to go back to that place. That place lost me, my kids, a marriage, a band. A lot of things and it's for real. That's how dangerous that is. So I take it serious."
Tyler admits he's been to rehab a total of five or six times, so sticking with a sobriety program for two straight years is a huge step for the rock star!
Steven Tyler is opening up about a recent bathroom fall during his South American tour with Aerosmith ... which resulted in Tyler getting two teeth knocked out.
The 63-year-old lead singer joked with Today's Matt Lauer:
"I passed out, I felt nauseous. You can't handle the tooth!"
As for the fall in his Paraguay hotel shower, Tyler says he "got nauseous (from food poisoning), started to get sick and I fell on my face and I just passed out."
Many speculated that the rocker may have fallen off the wagon yet again. Back in 2009, Tyler underwent three months of rehab for substance use. The singer tells Lauer, "That's not the issue."
After postponing their show earlier in the week due to the fall, Aerosmith played their concert on Wednesday night with Tyler sporting a new, white grin and a black eye.
Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson have officially agreed to return to Fox's next season of American Idol, but Jennifer Lopez is still on the fence.
J. Lo has been honest and vocal about her hesitance to return to judging the show -- she's currently got a music reality competition show of her own in the works, has seen the re-launch of her music career (which Idol was a great vehicle for) and has signed on for the film version of the famous book What To Expect When You're Expecting.
She told BBC radio earlier this month: "I don't know. I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because honestly I'm very on the fence about it."
There have also been rumors that J. Lo is holding out for a pay increase -- Tyler made more than her on the last season, and she reportedly wants to be on equal footing.
And J. Lo's got one more iron in the fire ... see what it is after the jump!
Only a week after receiving a standing ovation upon debuting his single "(It) Feels So Good," it came natural for American Idol judge, Steven Tyler, to go with the flow as he made his way through LAX. We're lovin' those long locks!
The 63-year-old rocker has taken a break from Aerosmith to create multiple individual projects: the release of his album (It) Feels So Good, his autobiography Does the Noise in My Head Bother You? and his stint as judge on Idol.
Even though his band had threatened to kick Tyler from Aerosmith if he joined Idol, Tyler held on real tight to his cajones and took the TV gig!
The frontman recently told Rolling Stone some jaw-dropping remarks in regards to Aerosmith. Read them after the jump!
