X17 XCLUSIVE - Steven Tyler Tight Lipped On New Gig As Idol Judge

X17online spotted Steven Tyler arriving at the Sunset Marquis hotel last night just as reports that he was to replace American Idol's Simon Cowell as head judge hit the web.
The Aerosmith frontman remained tight-lipped on his new gig, but the New York native seemed calm, cool and ready to take on the throngs of wannabes who come out for Idol auditions every year.
Earlier it was reported that Jennifer Lopez has already inked a deal to replace Ellen Degeneres (who quit) and Kara DioGuardi (whose contract was not renewed.)
What do you think of Steven as Simon's replacement? Will he leave the contestants Cryin' or will he be filled with Sweet Emotion?

I will not watch if Steven Tyler is a judge
Please choose someone more appealing to watch, like Harry Connick, Jr. I will not watch if it is Steven Tyler. Why not make it so that we enjoy the show?
He is not easy on the eyes not a good choice. If Jennifer Lopez replaced Ellen I will never watch the show again I can't stand the fur loving untalented, full of herself rican.
I absolutely will not watch it if he's the judge. He looks like Mary Tyler Moore now with his anorexia and face lift. LOL. And he's always messed up on drugs. Sixty years old. Get Bret Michaels in there: Charming, flirty, will critique well.

Any real musician is better than J-lo to be an American Idol Judge... J-lo a judge of American Idol, is that a joke? J-lo has the most screetching annoying voice in the planet... she can't sing. So how she give judgment on people's singing???
They should put a musician or at least somebody who sings live well, like:
1) Axl Rose from Guns Roses
2) Slash
3) David Lee Roth
4) Controversial singer PETER BURNS from the group "dead or alive". They had a hit years ago "YOu spin me round (like a record"
5) Samantha Ronson because she is not overrated yet, public wants to find out more about her. She is Lindsay's girlfriend and is a famous DJ with some records.
J-lo is too overrated... there is nothing enigmatic about her, her music sucks, her voice is annoying.
Steven Tyler would ROCK as a judge. Come on Steven!!!! I will watch FAITHFULLY if he's hired.
