Tom can choose to spend whatever amount he wants on his precious daughter's birhtday. I'm sure he does plenty for charity and countless others whom he comes in contact with. Not everyone who gives to the needy has to shout it from the rooftops for all to know. Do it up Tom!!! It's your world, we just live in it!

I guess they make the money and they can spend it any way this wish, although it doesn't mean I agree with them. At age 2, Suri won't even remember the party except for pics that they will show her someday. Wouldn't it be great if celebs turned a party like that into a fund raising event? For instance, instead of showering Suri with gifts, donations could be made in Suri's honor going to their favorite charity. They could still do a simple catered dinner, but just scaled down quite a bit. Just my thoughts.... :)

The things I'll remember about my two year old's birthday party have nothing to do with how much money we spent but what we did.

I was wondering why you never saw pictures nor heard anything at all about parties and gifts and activities for the other two children who call Tom Cruise daddy. They are adopted and apparently mean nothing to him compared to this kid.

10:03AM Suri is a baby so you see alot of pics of her with them cuz they travel. connor and isabella has school they cant go running around the world like that. im sure they have been out with them but i guess working in the paps. and magazine industry you have to think who will sell more and that would be Suri. its wrong but its business. im sure when connor and isabella were young and tom was with nicole they were having pics taken. you sound so angry about the way OTHER people live their life. plus when was the last time they saw their mom or when was their ever a pic with them and nicole?!?!at least Tom sees them they live with him! and their are pics of them being out hes always at their games and even at a couple of concerts!.

This 2 year old child would probably be HAPPIER with just a few cupcakes, a balloon and a gift or two, than what she got. I'm sure she felt overwhelmed. These two have NO clue. What message are they sending to their baby and her siblings about what the important things are in life? These two are SO weird and over-the-top.

Joan Crawford used to throw elaborate parties for her two [adopted] children, Christopher and Christina and after opening all thier gifts, they were forced to give all the presents to orphenages. The children (Chris and Chris) resented their mother for that.
IF TomKat forced Suri to give up what was given to her to charity we would be screaming from the roof tops...PUBLICITY STUNT and the fact that they gave her the party they can give we scream...SPOILED...shudda...couldda..wouldda...

This photo was taken when Suri was in France with her parents a few months ago.

The reason she isn't smiling in this picture is because she was surrounded by about 50-60 paps and they were all yelling at her trying to get a reaction.

Very cute kid, but doesn't look like Tom at all. Her eyes sage down at the outer corners same as Katies, some of the feature around her mounth resemble the other guy that is suspected of impregnating her.

Oh gees with the economy going bad how does this make us all feel? they should help with the world problems instead of wasting money on stuff Suri won't even remember!

What's funny about it is most parents spend a few hundred by going to a Chucky Cheese or some kid friendly place where it's about the kids and they have fun.

This party was for Tom and Katie with no thought or effort put into a 2 year old little girl, how selfish of them.

hey jenny,, theres a reason you never see nicole with the kids,,tom got primary custody so he could brain-wash their poor innocent minds,,and ya don't see many pics of them because they are locked in rooms being audited and having ethics applied. there lives will be hell and most likely they will wind up with mental illness,if they're lucky,,or death,either from their hand or that of a scientology elder. i was lucky, i got out fast, but in my short time with them i saw the devastation, and hoplessness in the eyes of those who had been unable to get out

The sad thing is that the kid probably would have been perfectly happy with KFC! She is way to young to appreciate all of the hoopla!

She's technically not a baby anymore...she's reached Toddler stage...while it's their money to waste, it does seem a little on the ridiculous to spend that much for a party for a two year old who won't remember any of it.

Here's a thought for all of you complaining about the economy...all of their excesses are helping the economy. Wolfgang Puck didn't make that food by himself, he had a team working with him. That team needed a seperate team to clean up after. They needed food to make, so they had to go to a store to purchase it. Before they could buy it, it had to arrive in the store. Before it made it on a truck for delivery, someone had to pick it, make it, etc. You can see where this is going... Now do I think it is excessive for a kid's bday party? You bet! But its also not hurting the economy...just a thought.

For Tom, spending $100,000 on the party is equivalent to spending $20 if your total income was $100,000 per year.
