Malibu Fire Claims Suzanne Somers' Home

Suzanne's was one of four homes destroyed yesterday in the beach blaze. Although the house was a total loss, as seen here in the first pix of her devastated beachfront abode, the AP report neither Suzanne nor her husband Alan Hamel were hurt in the fire. Authorities are still looking into the cause of costly inferno, but this is not the first time the exclusive community has been affected by fire. Two blazes in 1993 and 1996 resulted in several fatalities.
Our condolences to Suzanne, Alan and the other victims of the Malibu fire!

How shallow are you? She just lost her home. Granted it's probably not her only one but I am sure there were pictures lost and other valuables that can't be replaced. In light of all this, you are worried about the color belt she is wearing?! The world could use less people like you!
At least these rich people can buy it all back & I know she has other houses to live in. It SUCKS when regular people have fires. No where to go, nothing left. Fighting with insurance people from the motel 6. No cloths to go to work in. She'll be sad, but I'm sure her attorneys are already working it out. It takes more than 5 years for a "regular" person to recoupe from their ONLY home or apt burning down.
Alan is a sponge sucking everything he can out of her!!!!! He's a con artist who made money off of selling her to the highest bidder!!!!

Alan isn't upset because he hasn't PAID for ANYTHING IN 30 YEARS!!! He's as big a con as some greasy used car salesman!!!!! I really hate that guy!!! What she see's in him I'll NEVER KNOW!!!! He's just a damm gigolo

60 years young...Suzanne is a work of art. She's still got it goin' on.
I am 60 also and people think she is my double everywhere I go. I take it as a pure compliment and it feels good no one every believes how old we both are!
Go gal. My heart goes out to anyone rich or poor that looses a home. Money can not replace the truly important things, and memories in life. Photographs, things handed down from loved ones, pets that were loved like family. I feel badly for anyone who has to go through such a terrible time in their lives. I have lost both my parents, brother and son and no amount of money can ever bring them back. Thank God a home can be replaced.She has worked hard for what she has and I am very proud of her accomplishments as I am of mine. Nothing came easy without hard work and determination!
