Tatum Takes Responsibility

Tatum O'Neal TatumONeal050308_001_X17.jpg The day after her arrest for allegedly trying to buy cocaine and crack near her NYC home, Tatum O'Neal cleaned up for an AA meeting.

This morning, the troubled star told X17online:

"I think it's a tragic thing but I brought it upon my self. I'm glad it happened the way it happened. Any kind of addiction is always a tragedy. Right now I'm on my way to take care of myself by going to an AA meeting."

Addiction can be a lifelong battle - nice to see she's back in the trenches!

She cleans up pretty good!

She should check into a rehab to beat that kind of an addiction. Life goes on and there's always a new beginning. I hope she can get better.

think this is inherited?? look at Ryan with his substance abuse problems. his sons Griffin and Redmond's well publi sized drug battles. Redmond has been thru rehab over and over and cannot kick his habits. this whole family is a mess. just sorry that Tatum is not being pro active fighting it and will only get treatment after she is caught buying or using. she has lost her marriage, her kids and her career, what a dismal, sad life. i hope she can beat it this time around!
