Taylor Momsen was snapped at a shoot in New York City on Tuesday, and the Gossip Girl alum wore an enormous pair of boots, a short leather skirt and a scowl on her face. At first we thought she might have gotten her nose done, but upon closer inspection it looks like it's just some weird contouring makeup on her face.

Despite looking like the world was going to end, Taylor later tweeted, "Great shooting with [Samantha Thavasa] today!!" We're not sure if it's for an ad campaign or a music video (or both?) but AKB48 singer Tomomi Itano was also on hand and Taylor was spotted in a few different outfits with several handbags.

Taylor has been focusing primarily on her band The Pretty Reckless, but we'd love to see her pretty face back on the big or small screen...

Taylor Momsen seems to have ditched her usual goth look ... then again, she's back on the NYC set of Gossip Girl as her Upper East Side character, Jenny.

The Pretty Reckless singer, looking gorgeous in a short gold mini dress, wrapped up her scenes for the 6th season of the hit CW show. Guess she can't go without her cigarettes and Red Bull.

Momsen, 19, paired her sexy ensemble with sky-high Louboutins. This blonde bombshell's got legs and she KNOWS how to use them!

Taylor Momsen has ditched the goth outfit, but looks like she's kept the goth-inspired eyeliner.

The former Gossip Girl star, rockin' a skin-tight black bandeau mini dress and a red leather dress, posed with her handbags at a photo call for the Samantha Thavasa store in Tokyo, Japan. Now THAT'S how you sell a hangbag!

Gee, Taylor ... that red bag looks strikingly similar to a Birkin. GG's Blair Waldorf would not approve.

Taylor Momsen attended the JustFabulous launch of Abbey Dawn by Avril Lavigne at the Viper Room on Tuesday night, and despite the heavy makeup and goth/biker-inspired attire, the former Gossip Girl starlet was in a great mood! Sigh ... whatever happened to Little J?

Avril performed a few songs at the bash, and later she tweeted, "Thanks also to @CoryMonteith for coming to the show tonight and supporting. ;) my Canadian Boi!!!!!! Rock it. And thanks to @officialkimora she was super DOPE and rocking my Abbey Dawn shoes :) and thanks to @LA_Reid for coming also xoxoxo."

While Avril is notorious for her naughty antics with photographers, it looks like she's on her best behavior these days. Funny how that coincides with her promoting something...

Taylor Momsen is ditching the hardcore makeup and focusing on her incredible voice in the latest music video for "You."

The former Gossip Girl star, showing off her softer side in only a white vest and black panties, is seen getting romantic with a lover.

When asked about her sexy style, Momsen told FHM:

"I love stripper shoes and I always try to find the tallest ones. I’m always surprised no one talks about my shoes. I’m, like, on stage in 15-inch heels but people talk more about my eye make-up, which has stayed the same forever."

Yep, the raccoon eye-liner is pretty much Taylor's staple. But it's great to see the 18-year-old rocker showing that she's versatile.

Taylor Momsen covers the new issue of FHM, but she's barely covered herself! However, given some of the stuff she's worn onstage in the past, we're not exactly shocked with these poses -- and she is 18 now, so it's not that big of a deal, right?

In addition to shooting some scandalicious photos, Taylor reveals that she's a bit of a head case. "I'm completely neurotic, totally anxious and high-strung all the time," she says. "I sleep for about four hours a night, or day, really. I go to bed at 9am, sleep for four hours, then get up and start the day again ... To be honest, I don't know what to do when I'm not working. I lose my mind if I'm not constantly doing something."

Taylor also dished on her signature style, telling the mag, "I love stripper shoes and I always try to find the tallest ones. I'm always surprised no one talks about my shoes. I'm, like, on stage in 15-inch heels but people talk more about my eye make-up, which has stayed the same forever. I always think that's funny. I got into heels when I was little, though. My mom's really short so she always wears really tall heels and I used to steal them and now it's just a part of my everyday life."

Sigh. Whatever happened to Little J?!

Taylor Momsen will have to be content with troublemaking off screen, apparently.

The actress and her co-star Jessica Szohr will no longer star on the CW's Gossip Girl, TVLine reports.

Momsen played Jenny and Szohr played Vanessa. Momsen had made it quite clear in past interviews that she wants to focus on her music (the 17-year-old fronts The Pretty Reckless) and her on-set antics have made headlines. Tim Gunn guest starred on the show in November and called Momsen a "diva" and "a brat."

Gossip Girl is coming up on its fifth season. The show's core cast -- Blake Lively (Serena), Leighton Meester (Blair), Penn Badgley (Dan), Ed Westwick (Chuck) and Chace Crawford (Nate) -- will all be back in the fall.

Former Gossip Girl starlet turned gothic pop tart Taylor Momsen put on her most demure outfit while touring Paris on Friday - the Pretty Reckless singer performed a showcase at the Fnac Champs-Elysees last night.

In a recent interview with PopEater, Taylor insisted that "music needs danger, it needs that risk."

She also says the following about her controversial image: "I don't have control over what people are going to write and it's always going to be part of it. But fashion, music... it all comes together. Tabloids are going to focus on my shoes and not my music, that's just what they do."
