Ann Curry Tears Up While Announcing Her Today Show Departure

After weeks of speculation, Ann Curry has officially announced that she'll be leaving The Today Show.
While shedding tears, Curry told viewers "this is not as I expected to ever leave this couch."
Curry, who is expected to be replaced by Savannah Guthrie, added:
- "For all of you who saw me as a groundbreaker, I'm sorry I couldn't carry the ball over the finish line but, man, I did try. To all of you watching, thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me touch yours."
The newswoman will now be the NBC News National and International Correspondent and Anchor.
