Mad Men Scene Stealers Strike A Pose
Posted on Tue Aug 31, 2010 12:18 PM PDT
The Emmy Award-winning cast of Mad Men grace the latest issue of Rolling Stone, and we can't get enough of John Hamm, but January Jones is the only one we're looking at here!
Co-stars Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss also share the cover with Don and Betty, and the article inside examines what makes the cast click and how the show has captivated America. Mad Men producer Matthew Weiner tells the mag, "The big question the show is trying to answer through Don [Draper] has to do with identity. Who am I? — It's only the biggest theme in all of Western literature."
To make it work, Weiner brought together "veteran actors who had spent their careers toiling in relative obscurity." The article notes that January Jones and Christina Hendricks were stars that "nobody wanted," and now "everybody knows their names, everybody covets their careers, everybody wants to get next to them." True that!
