Vampire Diaries The Most-Watched CW Premiere Ever!

Looks like fang-atics have found their latest fix in the CW's new show, The Vampire Diaries! We watched the season premiere last Thursday and we loved it (pretty faces, plenty of drama) and it looks like you guys seem to agree with us!
Diaries captivated an estimated 4.8 million viewers the other night, making it the CW's most-watched series premiere ever, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In the adult demographic, it's the CW's best series debut since last fall's 90210.
While the show has been criticized for ripping off Twilight and jumping on the vampire bandwagon, the numbers seem to speak for themselves...plus, we can't get enough of the incredibly hunky Ian Somerhalder...so glad he's back on TV!

Sorry, I watched it cause I wanted to see if it was any good. It sucked and I definitely will not watch again. True Blood is a thousand times better and Twilight is definitely much better than Vampire Diaries.
I saw the show last night (fryday 1hr on CW @ 9 in Puerto Rico)...BREATHTAKING

ok I dvr'ed it, saw it and hated it..fast forwarded through the whole show..I tired to keep an open mind but it just sucked..love twilight and true blood 100x better..the lead actor seemed liked he was trying to imitate rob's potrayal of edward..
True Blood owns all of these baby shows/movies. The Twilight series and Vampire Diaries are about crybaby teenagers in high school, and one is about awesome mature adults. I see no comparison.

Honestly. Twilight is one of the worst series ever. Edward is an abusive jerk. He stalkes her! since when is staring at someone sleep not illegal? look up the definition. and he also throws bella against the wall at one point in the 3rd book. and little girls say.. "twilight ruined men for me, i want my man to be like edward." when all he is in an abusive a$$hole. nice role model for these young girls
Watched it and my immediate thought was that this show chose the actor because he looks like Rob Pattison and even tried to act like him. Brooding eyes and soft hesitant voice. They would have done better just casting actors that were totally different from the actors that play in twilight series. The story line isn't a rip off of twilight, but the look of the actors and the acting is a total copy.
