Brad Womack Proposes To Emily Maynard On The Bachelor

Brad Womack first appeared on The Bachelor in 2007 and famously rejected the two final contestants.
But on tonight's season finale, the 38-year-old heartbreaker presented his final rose - and Neil Lane diamond engagement ring - to 24-year-old Emily Maynard. Runner up Chantal O'Brien left in tears.
Womack said the following to single mom Maynard in Cape Town, South Africa:
- "You're the one, Em. You're my once in a lifetime. Please let me be your once in a lifetime. Please let me be your best friend. Please let me protect you and your beautiful daughter, and please let me love you for the rest of your life. I love you, Emily. I am truly in love with you. Emily, please make me happier than I've ever been in my life and marry me."
Maynard replied with, "I would love to. You just made me the happiest girl in the world."
Congrats to the happy couple!

Emily seems like she has serious issues. Understandably she's lost a deep love and her defense now is to control every aspect of love. She's putting Brad through torture. POOR Brad! He's shown her time and again how much he's serious about her and yet she refuses to see. It's a self-defense mechanism that she needs to let go of. She needs THERAPY.
These shows are as real as soap operas, people. Get a grip. I'm sure these two are already broken up, have cashed their checks and are on to the next thing.

Chantelle or the woman who worked at the funeral home would be much better. Marrying someone with a kid is a huge sacrifice. Note Emily demanded Brad sacrifice his guy evenings. Brad will always be number two. She shot him down a number of times throughout the show.Brad expressed his appetite for adventure from climbing down buildings and waterfalls, travelling, trapezing across a rope to the other side of a plateau and being immersed into a cage underwater with surrounding sharks. Emily would see that as a risk to her daughter and wouldn't participate. Sooo ... sports nights with the guys and adventure outings would be sacrificed for romper room. Sounds like Emily wants the relationship one way and her way. Emily won't be reliving 18 years old forever when she turns 35.

Brad/Emily - Hang in there, Rome was not built on a day. Listen too each other express views, no one is right or wrong. My son always says "do you" and the heck with anybody else.
