It's about time! He had to say something eventually.
Tiger Woods will be making his first public statement since this whole car accident/cheating scandal began late last year. The golfer will "will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates" this Friday in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse. Tiger's official website has this to say:
- "While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him. He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that's what he's going to discuss.
His remarks will be open to a press pool for live coverage. It is NOT a news conference."
Hmm, sounds like he won't be taking any questions. This apology better be good!
Another wrinkle in the story - Tiger's statement will be held during the Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona... Accenture was the first sponsor to drop Tiger after the scandal hit. However, the golf pro's agent, Mark Steinberg, insists it was simply "a matter of timing."
And when Steinberg was asked if the statement could have waited until after the tournament, he said: "No."
But why have the press conference at the TPC Sawgrass near Jacksonville? Tiger's in Orlando!
Ty Votaw, EVP of the PGA Tour, tells X17online the following: "We were asked by his organization to provide a facility and we were happy to do so. They requested our help."
And as for the fact that Accenture's tournament is the same day? Could it be that Tiger is kinda sorta trying to take the spotlight away from them?
Votaw claims it's "just a timing issue and purely coincidental."
What will Tiger say???

I have always liked Tiger....too bad he did what he did BUT...it's none of our business..it's between Tiger & his wife. The world needs to stay out of it. There are millions upon millions of cheaters in the world...we don't hold everyone else to ridicule & shame like this poor man has been. Let them sort this out alone.
The only apology that is needed is to his wife. All other people, it's none of their business.
Tabloids are just insane. No one owes them any explnations at all.
The Cheatah is a coward.
WRONG - this guy marketed HIS NAME on merchandise. How much money do you think his name would have fetched had people knew the TRUTH about him.
IT IS NOT OKAY to lie to the public if you're a public personality AND if you make millions of dollars off of your IMAGE!
1:15 and 1:21 (prolly same loser) need to come to grips with 2K10 marketing. Either that or go fetch your Billy Clinton signature sweats back out of the Salvation Army box.
great news! get back on the course
we are all sinners in this sinful world nobody is perfect ....
Will tell the world he's given up eating fried chicken and water mellon!
Maybe he'll stop screwing white whores and switch to screwing black/latina whores....
He's so dopey looking.
He is going to say I DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH THOSE WOMEN LMAO just like Clinton
Tiger looks so pitiful...I really don't feel bad for him!
Mahayana Buddhists (in Japan and China, northern Buddhism) are stricter than the southern Buddhists in places like Thailand. Let's see Tiger follow THEIR teachings about no sexual misconduct instead of the easier Thai Theravada Buddhism!!
i think all of you need to get a life and leave the man alone, like you never cheated on your lovers before.
Woods is probably not the first nor the last has deceived his wife. Now I am sure that his career is almost finished. It will be hard for him to return to competition.
