Hollywood Heavyweights Show Their Support For Haiti

It's pretty amazing how just about every major A and B-list celebrity participated in last night's Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief. From Tom Cruise to Jennifer Aniston, along with performances by Madonna and Rihanna, the telethon was a huge success, raising millions and millions of dollars. Exact numbers haven't yet been announced, but according to Indiana University's Center on Philanthropy, total donations from America in the last two weeks have reached $377 million, and an estimated half of that could be coming from Hope for Haiti.

OMG this is why the world is so chaotic. Not one of you really give a damn.
It is horrific that people have to suffer, no matter where they live, what colour they are, who they worship.
People like George Clooney and Matt Damon are genuinely helping people who are in desperate situations. George might use his celebrity status but he gets the job done and he does not do it for the attention - like Angelina.
Perhaps people should stop being so closed minded and start looking at the world through their souls - well that is of course if they have one.
Stop complaining everyone, if you cannot give a dime then at least give positive energy into the universe!

It is fantastic that the USA can show compassion for the people of Haiti, however shouldn't we start to care for our own people in the USA first? We have many poor families in the USA that would appreciate a home, bed, food, and clothing. What is wrong with the celebrities don't they relize all the homeless and poor in the USA?
