Do you think they deserve to be bashed? Do you really think they would even consider taking Suri out in public with them when they are so hounded by the paps? That's called respondible parenting. They still have obligations to Tom's other kids, they are doing what normal parents do, when you have kids in sports. You attend, you cheer, you take hours of video tape for memories.

Lots of Celebes bring their kids out in public. If Tom thinks he SOOO important that his kids aren't safe outside he shouldn't have any. Have you noticed how cable stations are playing Katie's old movies more than ever now? THE ICE STORM, DISTURBING BEHAVIOR and TEACHING MRS. TINGLE have been rotated a lot, along with more recent releases, FIRST DAUGHTER and BATMAN BEGINS. They were part of packages before and were rarely seen, now they're being aired regularly.

That tells me someone in scheduling thinks people are interested. After all, Tom was Katie's emergence on the world stage and many people knew nothing about her or her work. Now that she is an internationally known figure who's been a constant feature in the press for the past year, producers are already sending scripts in. She will have her choice of roles on the next one. She has many supporters and fans in this town...people who still believe that breakthrough moment is coming.

I think the cable stations are right, cause I didn't really care or watched Dawsons Creek before, but after Katie Holmes got with Tom Cruise I became more interested in watching stuff with her in it. Like a couple months ago the WB network aired the first episode of Dawsons's creek for their farewell night. Yoiu know, cause now they are CW.I was so much more interested in the show because I wanted to see Katie Holmes. I also noticed she is very, very, very pretty!It made me wish I could buy the whole Dawsoms Creek DVDs, but I can't afford them.

I agree. I change the channel when I see them, most seem so bad. But I thought Tom & his people pushed that shit out there. He's always saying she can act. I guess she's proved that at these events!

Tom wants her to be succesful. Tom seems to have an interest in making the world see what a wonderful actress she is. I think he'll be encouraging her to tackle the acting challenges not hindering her from taking them. I get the sense this time that Tom has a vested interested in having Hollywood accept Katie as a multi-faceted A-list actress in her own right. He may actually be the one who has the greater ambitions for her.

You all need to remember, I have tremendous experience in the industry and I, personally know what Tom thinks because I can hear his thoughts. That's why I speak with such authority. I know the history of Tom's thoughts. When you reach OT VII, as Tom and I have, we can communicate using only our minds.

mvsleuth you nailed it because I started renting and buying some of Katie's movies all thanks to Tom for introducing me to her. My boyfriend is even apedung over Katie now and loved Batman even more because she's part of the caliber cast and resurrected Batman.
I recently purchased The Gift(Katie is shockingly naughty in this film),Wonder Boys and First Daughter. Her Indie films are really impressive like Singing Detective,Thank you for Smoking and Pieces of April.
I watched the WB goodbye mainly because Im curious of her TV stardom in Dawson's Creek but back then I did watched Roswell and Felicity too.
She's very talented and adorable and WB did highly touted her with many of her promos and TV guide,Zap2it had many stellar reviews and plugins on her before and after the WB sendoff.

Katie,Anne Hathaway and Natalie Portman are my favorite young stars. The rest seemed like trampy to me and already aging too fast their careers are on the skids.

To all of you blabbering about it being a "danger" to take a child to a football/soccer game. Are you kidding me?! They seem to mananage Tom's two children, his nephews, his sisters, his mother, all going to these games every weekend. Yet they can't seem to take the one that they would be holding or have closest to them? Have they heard of a snugli or a stroller? My son grew up playing youth hockey with Wyatt Russell, son of Kurt and Goldie. We NEVER NEVER EVER has paperazzi EVER at the rinks. And Kurt and Goldie are BY FAR WAY BETTER then tom and katie could EVER dream of being.
