Shanna Rushes To Travis' Side!

Shanna Moakler has rushed to Augusta, Georgia to be by her ex-husband's side following the fatal plane crash that killed 4 people and left him and DJ AM in critical condition. Shanna's mom Gail told People, "We're totally crushed. Our heart pours out. We're hoping he recovers. The family is rallying around him and saying our prayers. Shanna flew out this morning, and I am going to LA to be with the children so that she can devote time to Travis. Shanna spoke to Travis last night. He was defiant after the accident and didn't want to be lifted in a helicopter, but rather an ambulance, so they had to knock him out."
Gail added, "There's still love between them. They may be divorced, but they're still very close. She spends a lot of time with him. Their priorities are their kids."
DJ AM's sister Lara and her husband Benjamin Long are also on their way to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center. "The whole thing is crazy," Benjamin Long told People. "We're thankful that he made it. And we feel horrible about those who didn't. It's just awful...A lot of people know his [DJ AM's] story. He's pulled through a lot of things in the past."
Hopefully Travis and DJ AM will make a speedy recovery!

I find it bizarre that the 2 "celebs"on the plane were the only survivors. Shocking. The skies above hold many mysteries!!!!!!!!!!
Yes very odd that they should be the only two. It's just random though. Who was alive when they crashed, who was closest to the door etc...
This is certainly very tragic and it is just a very odd coincidence that those two were the only survivors. They were probably thrown from the plane as it skidded and crashed. That is probably the only reason they lived.
I read that the two survivors got themselves out of the plane as soon as it came to a halt. They scrambled out the exit.

MSNBC tapped into a local South Carolina affiliate and reported this eyewitness account. A local man saw what he termed "a fireball rolling across the highway."
Once he realized it was an airplane, he pulled over and approached the scene to help, noting that jet fuel was strewn across the five-lane road.
He then reported seeing two men who were "basically dumped out of the airplane upon the crash, who were standing in the road on fire, hitting each other trying to put the fire out."
Both Travis and DJ AM jumped out of the airplane doors upon impact. Travis was severly burned from the waist down and DJ AM was severly burned on his face.
Talk about Hell.... So sad.

That's terrible. I hope that they pull through. My heart goes out to all those affected by this tragedy.

My prayers are with Travis & DJ AM...smart move jumping out ASAP. And Shana, what an amazing woman, showing Travis her support like that. My heart goes out to the 4 individuals who didnt make it & their loved ones. Travis & AM - God speed recovery for both of you!
Im wondering if maybe the reason they were the only 2 to survive,is because they were the only ones not wearing their seatbelts, and were possibly ejected from the plane on impact, thus allowing them out before it was too late. Sooo sad and scary to hear this. Thoughts and prayers out to the families of the 4 that passed.
