Bill Condon has officially been named the director for the next installment of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn. Twihards will be happy to hear that this film may be divided into two parts. Talk about a sweet gig for Condon!
Condon released the following statement: "I'm very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life onscreen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book — and we're hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience."
Summit Entertainment chose the Oscar-nominated Dreamgirls director over a slew of others including Gus Van Sant and Sofia Coppola.
When asked if Summit plans on making Breaking Dawn into two movies, a rep says it's "not official. We do not have any confirmation on that front."
Do you think Summit made a good choice with Bill Condon?
