Vanessa Hudgen's Film Hurt By New Moon Leak

It should have been a big weekend for Vanessa Hudgen's new movie Bandslam.
But hopes that showing the New Moon trailer before the film would help build an audience didn't exactly pan out.
Bandslam earned just $2.3 million in its opening weekend - failing to even make it into the top 10.
Some reports are blaming the fact that the trailer - featuring a super-buff Taylor Lautner - was leaked on internet last week for the poor showing at the box office.
Maybe Vanessa just can't open a movie?
Where were all the Vanessa fans this weekend?

It was a flop because the "critics" loved it.
DON'T MAKE EXCUSES! Vanessa H. just plain SUCKS! She CANNOT act or sing! ONLY POSE NUDE! and nude photos are SHAMEFUL and Vanessa should be ASHAMED of herself!
That is correct! Vanessa CANNOT open a movie, let alone be in one!
Anyone could tell the movie was gonna blow because Summit used a trailer for another movie (New Moon) to entire people to see Bandslam.
Vanessa's handlers are really stupid for leaking nekkid pics of her before her movies open. Too much overexposure. When she wants to pose for Playboy it might be hard to her to get paid seeing as how she's already shown her t&a to the entire world -- for free. What a dumbass.

I never heard anything so stupid as to say this movie would have been a hit if the trailer hadn't been leaked. Nobody is going to waste money on a movie they don't want to see. What would be funny is that the $2 million in sales were from people who bought tickets to see the movie but snuck into another movie after the trailer.
The movie would have been better suited for television release rather then theater like Lindsey Lohans Labor Pains. Besides outside of the High School Musical genre she's pretty much known for dating Zac Efron and leaking nekkid pics of herself.
Who would go to a movie just to see a trailer?? I think that's completely ridiculous and the "suits" will say anything to shift blame away from their crappy product. Although, to be fair, I guess I shouldn't call it crappy since I didn't see it.
Anything with that twit in it is going to do horrible. Doesn't anyone in the industry know that already??
Did you all see the trailer for this stupid movie? I saw it and decided not to waste my money. When you promote a movie you should use the best footage, and if that was what was in the trailer no wonder hardly nobody went to see it.
And it is just plain pathetic if you have to use the New Moon trailer just to get people to come see your movie...I think that says alot there to (in a very negative way)
Actually Bandslam is NOT Vanessa's movie. The main stars are Gaelan Connell and Michalka. Vanessa has a very small part in the movie. A very good part, I might add. And it's a great movie, with a great story about Will the outsider who is a walking encyclopedia of music. All the marketing I saw, including the posters, promoted it as Vanessa Hudgens' music movie. There is SO much more in this movie than just the battle of the bands at the end.
After seeing the movie, I realized that Summit did a very poor job of marketing this movie and letting people know what it's really about.
Not Vanessa's movie, but she did awesome in her supporting role. Vanessa is just fine and will continue to grow as an actress. So glad I go to movies I want to see with actors I want to see instead of depending on some biased, hateful opinions of those who talk way more than they should. Love ya Vanessa!!!!
ummm if a movie is a flop because a TRAILER was leaked beforehand...i think that MIGHT be a sign that the movie sucks. just saying.
I might add that if the trailer wasn't going to be shown at all, imagine how many people would have gone to see it. A movie shouldn't do poorly because a trailer leaked. I love Vanessa and everything but when you can't act or sing you just can't act or sing. It sucks to make that realization but everyone needs to find what there actually good at. She would be a fabulous addition to the fashion world. But she didn't have a leading role so it's hard to say. We will wait for Beastly, Neil Patrick Harris is supposed to be in it, he used to go to my High School, so I'm excited.
Maybe the new nude photo scandal made everyone become over Vanessa. Theirs only so many times something like that can happen and people forgive the talent and get over it. With her, its hard to take her seriously. Also maybe some people thought, well she won't be with Zac in this movie and she won't be naked, so.. whats the point?
