Vanessa Hudgens Drives Her New 'Do To The DMV

Vanessa Hudgens showed off her newly-chopped 'do while hitting up the DMV in Studio City. We're still on the fence about V's short locks, but we guess it shows her committment to her craft.
The 22-year-old starlet, wearing head-to-toe black, lost her luxurious mane for her gritty role in the upcoming movie Gimme Shelter. Ms. Hudgens plays a pregnant teen who is kicked out of her home and forced to live on the streets.
Vanessa tells People:
- "The walk, the talk … it was a completely new person. I really did look like a boy. Not to mention the places we were filming. We were in the grimiest, dirtiest places, and I was fighting every day, being fought, being beat down and it was all extremely draining even though it was acting.”

This is the reason I hesitate to cut my hair short. It doesn't look the best on her and makes her look older. You just never know what a haircut will do. I honestly think if she went shorter like Emma Watson it may actually suit her face better but I bet she's dying to grow it back out now. One plus to short is no ugly hair extensions!!

guys some of you are commenting that her hairdresser should be fired, well actually she cut her hair for a role. which i think will be a hit. if u observe certain patterns such as bridget jones diary, renee zelweger, had to put on weight for the part, it became a hit. christian bale had to lose weight for machinist. it became a hit. i think when actor/actresses make a drastic change for a part, it will sure be a hit. it shows their commitment. good luck vanessa. was never a fan of u, but becase of the mean things that people say, you are now in my 'like' category
