Vanessa Hudgens Is So Over High School Musical And Questions About Nude Photos

Vanessa Hudgens wants to make it clear that she's moved on from being "that Disney girl" in High School Musical as well as the girl who posed for those racy nude photos that have continually leaked onto the web over the last several years.
"It's just silly because I'm a very present person, and that's the thing that has been so in the past," Vanessa said in a recent interview with the LA Times over the sexy snaps she took years ago that recently surfaced . "The fact that somebody keeps bringing up the past is just selfish. I mean, it sucks. I already released a statement the first time it happened. It's just unfortunate that it keeps reminding people about the past and not the present."
As for being recognized from High School Musical, Vanessa says, "Teenagers come up to me and are obnoxious about the whole thing, like, 'Oh my God, you're that girl! You're that girl from the Disney Channel.' And I'm like, 'I was that girl."
No longer the sweet and innocent Gabriella, Vanessa is trying to distance herself as much from East High as possible. In fact, she's been hanging out in dirty Venice beach where Hudgens is apparently a frequent visitor to the drum circles.
"I love going to the drum circle down there," the aspiring hippie says. "Every now and then someone will let me join in and bang on their drums, and I just love people who are completely free. Even if they're drug addicts, who sometimes freak me out."
With her new role in Sucker Punch and her new penchant for hanging with the addicts, it doesn't sound like Vanessa could get any further from her Disney image!
Although we bet she'll keep trying!

She will ALWAYS be the girl from high school musical and those pictures...I mean why do you want to erase your past? you can't....chose better next time.. hanging out with drug addicts doesn't say much of you either ...
HELLO, HSM made her famous. Without it she would be a nobody, her music is horrible, movies are horrible, basically her only claim to fame is HSM and dating Ex Zac Efron. I used to like her a lot, she is getting tooo big of an ego for me and not appreciating her past and where she came from.
In the one pic she spread her legs so wide you could see her tonsils.
Jen Ditto.. I completely agree. I think some stars, get to big for their britches. And don't appreciate who made them famous. Take Carrie Underwood for example. She always thanks American Idol for where she is today.. Again well said.
