Vanity Fair Oscar Party Cancelled!

It's probably the biggest, most prestigious party of the year -- Vanity Fair's annual Oscars party -- and this year's party is now officially CANCELLED!
With the Oscars ceremony hanging in the balance because of the writers' strike, this is big blow the the prestige and tradition of the awards show. Many wonder now if the WGA will be able to broker a deal for its members in time for the February 24 show.
Will the whole ship go down?
I've been outside Morton's as journalist on the Vanity Fair red carpet and I've been on the red carpet at the Oscars and frankly, Vanity Fair was always more fun! Without the Vanity Fair party, the Oscars just won't be the Oscars!

well...considering that all my favorite shows have episodes in syndication...i'm cool. that writer's strike can go on forever as far as i'm concerned. i just feel bad for all the people who are losing their jobs b/c the writers are selfish assholes who only care about themselves.
i'm sure the actors can do without ONE MORE party that exists solely to stroke their overblown egos. boo hoo, asshats.

each year the ratings for the Globes and Oscars go down so it means the people dont really care unlike the Superbowl it goes up each time.
