Posh & Becks To Adopt?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's adoptive example has touched hearts worldwide - including, it seems, the ones residing in the chests of David and Victoria Beckham!
Grazia is reporting that, following a UN-sponsored trip to Sierra Leone, the couple has been discussing the possibility of adopting an African orphan.
During the Beckhams' four-day tour of the impoverished African nation, David witnessed a birth and helped administer immunization drops to another newborn.
The experience seems to have left David extremely moved - the footballer subsequently revealed that he was "close to tears. I had to step back and take a breath."
According to a family friend, this isn't the first time David's looked into adopting, either. "Adoption is something David has been talking about for some time," they told Grazia. "If there is one subject that can move him to tears, it's the thought of being unloved, uncared for and with no hope or future."
The couple had hoped to try for a fourth child last summer until plans for the Spice Girls to reunite took over.
Now, however, plans seem to be moving forward - in fact, Grazia says David's been speaking to his friend Tom Cruise about his experience with adoption!
"Tom has talked to David about how adoption changed him and how he's been able to change the lives of two amazing children," Grazia's source says.
It would be wonderful if the Beckhams could find room in their family for a new addition - especially Victoria's long-hoped-for daughter!

I hope that this is not just an attempt to jump on the Hollywood Bandwagon to adopt children from other countries and for Victoria to get the daughter she's desperate to have. I think when done for the right reasons adoption a wonderful thing. But some need to learn Children are not play things that we dress up in expensive clothes just to show off. I believe that I can give an honest opinion that adoption can be a long,difficult,sometimes heartbreaking experience. My husband and I had 3 children,the youngest at the time was 9,when we were asked to become Foster Parents. We did,but we chose to take a child,boy or girl,who was considered a high risk. We received a beautiful 7 wk boy. THe birth parents were both long term crack and alcohol addicts. We spent many,many nights comforting the baby as he would never sleep longer than 45 minutes at a time.He had screaming fits that would just break my heart. I won't lie,we had some long sleepless nights. It got better as we took the time to figure out what he would find comfort in.we just loved him from the moment we saw him. Today he just turned 2. He is active and keeps us on our toes! The Drs say long term we don;t know what to expect from the drug use he was exposed when his birth mother was pregnant. We didn;t care. We adopted him. I know that God always meant for us to be his parents. He just took a different route getting to us. It is very rewarding,but parenting is not for everyone.

Even though Posh may look like a wax figure in pictures lol, she is honestly one of the nicest most down to earth people I have ever met. I had the opportunity to meet all of the Spice Girls and talk to them for a while when my aunt was one of the directors of their record label company. She really is such a good person and people shouldn't judge her by the way she looks in pictures.

Hi, Iam uganda and have always wondered why these two cannot atleast adapt african children. i would love to see them coming to my country and adapting atleast one child. Praying for that time. olivia
