X17 XCLUSIVE - Preps Underway For New We Are The World Recording

As celebrities get set to lend their voices to the new version of We Are The World, the Hollywood studio is being prepped for the arrival of the star-studded group that is said to include last night's biggest Grammy winners, Beyonce and Taylor Swift.
Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie (who wrote the original with Michael Jackson) plan to donate the proceeds of the new version to the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Expected to participate in the redux along with Swift and Beyonce are Bono, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Barbra Streisand, Usher, Natalie Cole, John Legend, Fergie, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Sting, Wyclef Jean, Celine Dion, Jason Mraz and Akon among others.
Nicole Richie tweeted this morning, "I was 4 years old in a studio watching my dad record We Are The World, & today I get to do it again. Excited to help make a change."
The original, recorded with Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, George Michael, Cyndi Lauper, Stevie Wonder and others, was a huge commercial success nearly 25 years ago and raised millions in charity for Africa.
This one is poised to be just as successful!
